Light gauge wire
It's a very light wire, suitable for low ampere led courtesy lights. No secondary insulation. Looks ok for purpose I haven't used it yet. Not sure about gauge, looks like 20.Update. I hooked up a 12 volt Nilight spreader light with this wire and it works fine. The wire is flexible and unobtrusive and works better than expected.

Great boat wire
I installed lights on my boat and this is perfect for what I need.

Very thin but suitable for light duty service like LED lighting.
To the best of my ability, I estimate this to be 20-gauge wire. I wish it were 16 or 18. Insulation is plenty heavy for the LED lights I'm using this for since, once run, there will be little to no wear or abrasion. Unlike the photo, I was surprised to find the wire on a spool similar to an old reel-to-reel audio tape. Much better than the big ball shown in the photo. I will be using crimped and waterproof heat-shrink connectors. Soldering is never recommended in marine applications.

Handy for future repairs.
I am always improving my boat with electronics. Very reasonable and easy to use electric wires. I would recommend.
