Dirty cover
There was some kind of sticky residue smeared on the front cover which I needed to remove with a little Windex. It's disappointing that you can't buy a book and expect it to be in good condition when you open the package.

A wonderful book to read before sleeping. I use it as a soft ending to every day
A wonderful book by a wonderful author. Twerski is well known as a brilliant psychologist and addictions specialist, having founded the gateway rehabilitation program in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He's written many spot on poignant books on addiction and recovery and has set a very high standard in recovery literature. This book, however, is not about addiction recovery but rather about enhancing one's spiritual self by offering a lesson a day for every day of the year - drawn from both the Torah itself and the writings of the Jewish Sages. The format follows the Jewish calendar, The writing is concise & to the point. It's really a beautiful and life-enhancing work.As reviewed by Yitzhak "Rabbi Steel" HaLevy

Growing and Learning
I have a Jewish friend who has a small zoom support group, and this is the book we are using. In spite of the fact that I am a Christian, I find these meditations to be helpful and sometimes beautiful, and I am learning a little bit about Judaism along the way.

Life Line
This book was chosen as a gift after I had myself received it; the recipient now uses it as a start to his reflections before beginning each day. He so enjoys it that he recommended it to a student, who requested it as her graduation gift, and now they study it together. I only wish that it could be updated to the current calendar, but it is definitely a worthwhile way to focus one's thoughts before jumping into the hectic daily whirl.

RELEVANT THOUGHTS TO EVERY DAY!
Love to read the thought of the day right after Shacharit, a great way to start the day with an inspiring and quite frequently very relevant thought. 60 seconds a day that are worth diamonds. Thanks Rabbi Twerski! Can't wait for the pocket size version...

Being Sober, Being Whole, Being a Jew
I have used this for thirty three years. One can taste a little or one can start each day with a journey in a sober life of Torah. I use this along with my learning each day. Rav/Doctor Twerski guides like the Rebbe his is, this is not a daily lesson plan, this is daily food for the nashumah! it is not a handbook on being a sober Jew make easy. But since I use it it must also be good for dummies.

Important messages for each day as the title says. ...
Important messages for each day as the title says. I've been using it every day for years. Never loses its significance. Usually learn something new each year in spite of the fact that I've read it time and again.

Living each day/Twerski
I love this book. It is a daily compilation of readings beginning with an excerpt from the Torah with a commentary by a Rabbi, followed by more rabbinical discussions. It is a good way to start the day -- can't remember what this is called in Hebrew -- but it calms me before starting the day.I highly recommend this volume of collections of Torah and wisdom.
