I can't state enough how much better this is than the other black ones I have tried. The retaining side of this piece is over twice as thick making for a EZ seal.

Inaccurate description and did not work for repair

Without the ability to unscrew and replace I would of had alot more work on my hands.

I used these nut unions on a balboa 2x15" heating unit. The old unit had worn out unions and rubber gaskets. In order for the repair, I removed the exiting unions and simply changes them out for the new once. I did not expect that the new unions would include the new gaskets as well. I had ordered those extra, but that apparently wasn't necessary. Anyway, the spa is not leaking any longer, saving me on my notorious high water bill (In San Diego).
