Super cute book for gifting!
Picked this up for a friend of mine, who just became a new grandma for the first time! She wanted to be called Nana. So I went in search of some fun, sweet and well written children's books to gift to her for when she has Nana time! She absolutely LOVED this one!

Delightful story about a boy learning about the wonders of the big city from his Nana.
This is a wonderful and sensitive book about a little boy visiting his Nana in the city. He is a little afraid of the city. He is from the country and is not used to the load and varied sights of the city. As first he just notices scary things. Then, as his Nana takes him around with a cape she has gotten him, he begins to see all the wonderful, colorful and delightful things in the city. The city really becomes a third character in the story. It clearly takes place in New York City and around Central Park. It captures the excitment of the city, the wonder of a young child and the wisdom of Nana.

What a beautiful, colorful expose of a Nana that lives in ...
What a beautiful, colorful expose of a Nana that lives in the city!! The artwork is so meaningful in terms of a child that obviously lives in suburbia and visits his Nana in the City. The noise, hustle and activity is showcased to the mindset of a youngster that can realize the beauty of city life!! It is engaging and an important aspect of children seeing life in all dimensions. Love this book and so interested in buying others from this author!!

Perfect for al of us Nanas and our grandchildren
Since I am Nana to 6, going on 9 grandchildren, I bought this book to keep at my house for all the visiting little people that call me Nana. I don't live in a big city, but I love this book, its story and pictures. And so do my grandchildren all under 6. Thank you.

As my son has grown into a love of superheroes
I bought this for my mom, a new "Nana"- I was looking for a book that referred to a grandma in this way. The story and illustrations are really cute. As my son has grown into a love of superheroes, it seems especially fitting that "Nana" gave him a special red cape in this story.
