Volic Epic Drop-In Wired Helmet Speakers for Motorcycles, Snowboarding, Mountain Biking, Skiing, Bikes, Sports and More

This system sounded extremely good in a static test after install and connection to my SENA 20. Be aware that they connect to the unit via the headphone jack, and optimizing them requires use of the SENA app to change some of the unit settings. When you plug them into the headphone jack the microphone is always activated. I E-Mailed support at Volic to ask if this was a known issue and to ask if it could be mitigated. I received no reply. The issue is that at speed the mic pick up sound that goes to the speakers and that really degrades the sound quality.

VThese things are EPIC!!! For a mid range price of drop in speakers I cant believe how impressive the sound is. I have these in two of my helmets and I always have a problem with hearing my music on the freeway with earplugs in. I can crank these up on the freeway rides and there is no sound distortion weather I am listening to a podcast or music it all sound like I’m listening to a set of bose speakers. Side note if you’re a Samsung user turn your equalizer off and you can turn the music up even higher. And it still doesn’t distort. I highly recommend these and have already bought another pair. Works amazing with the Sena.

I am really impressed with these! I was told they would be a great upgrade, and for the money I am truly happy!! I have a cardo unit currently on my helmet which has good speakers, but can be hard to hear at times when riding on the freeway at higher speeds.I cannot believe the sound difference with these!! I can hear the music playing in my helmet and not just the beat. After installing the Volic speakers, I could hear the lyrics - even on the freeway! This makes my commuting so much nicer! The sound is so crisp and the amount of bass is very impressive!I also really like that all the wires they used are flat.

Bought as a replacement for my Scala G9x speakers they provide much improved sound quality. They are a bit thicker and larger in diameter that the original ones but did not cause an issue in my Gmax helmet.

I really wanted to like these speakers. I put them in my Shoei RF 1200 and a Sena 30k. They are better than the Sena speakers but not by much. I was expecting a significant upgrade in loudness and quality but it just wasn’t there. I got on Volics website and adjust the settings of the Sena unit as recommended but I cannot justify the price for the minimal upgrade these provided.

On top of being more expensive than the speakers I was replacing, the sound quality was terrible. There wasn't any bass to them at all and they didn't sound any better than the speaker in my phone. I wouldn't buy these again or recommend them to anyone.

Speakers work well with great sound definition, You just have to use the Volic website to help navigate on what Bluetooth system you are using. I had to do minor adjustments to my Sena app in order to make them work. On my Cardo it was easy to make the adjustment. I learned that on my iPhone i needed to turn all my audio boosts off and just let the speakers do all the work.Fitment was easy in my Bell Star and in my Shoei X-Fourteen. just have to take a little bit of time to set everything up is all.

My girlfriend just bought me a set of these Speakers last year, I started using them in my Helmet when i Ski and the Quality of the Clearness and Sound was exceptional. I recently installed them into my Shoei RF-1200 and they had a good fit, didn't crunch my ears when i put the helmet on. I am using a chatterbox X1 Slim and had to find the earbud adapter to use them. I really like them over my stock speakers. And would highly suggest anyone that has the X1 Slim to do the same.
