Wonderful watercolor paper
I love this watercolor paper and I think it works just as well as 100% cotton paper. I was shocked the first time I used it. I use these small pads for card making and small watercolor art. It is fabulous.

El papel se comporta bien y el tamaño es muy adecuado para pintar fuera, me gusta anillado por que puedes pintar en ambas caras sin tener que estar preocupado de que se pueda serrar la hoja.

Nice paper
This is probably the best non 100% cotton paper I have used. It has good absorbancy for not being cotton!

Maybe I got a bad batch?
I wanted this for just watercolor sketchbook studies. My most well behaved paints pool and mottle in weird ways on it. Parts of the paper seem to resist the pigment and I can't get an even wash. I can't seem to build up multiple layers without the surface of the paper starting to fall apart. And lifting was absolutely a no go, even with a very light hand, it caused pilling. All that was bad enough but I used the lightest tack tape I have that has never ripped any paper I own (cellulose or cotton) and it ripped this paper. This isn't masking tape, it's the special artist super light tack tape that I actually have trouble keeping stuck to some of my papers because it's so low tack and it ripped this paper right down the edge of my study. So disappointing. i've seen so many professional artists on youtube using this for studies and practice and so I bought it with total confidence that I'd love it and I absolutely hate it. If I had bought more than one, I'd return them but as I've tested several pages in it, I guess it's destined to be scrap for blotting off excess paint on my brush. Very disappointed. For giggles I tried it with inks too, still a no go for me. I see all the good reviews and wonder if maybe I have a bad batch because I can't get the first wash to stick to it and I checked in my watercolor group and a few other people have noted the same thing but the vast majority seem to love it.

Love these Sketchbooks
I have always liked Bockingford paper & having it in a sketchbook is great. Filling the first one with lessons from Rick Surowicz on YouTube. I'll be checking to see if they have larger Bockingford Sketchbooks. Helps me to paint without fear and see my progress. Photo of Exercise from "River Rocks".

Good-quality necessity
Good for sketching in pencils or charcoal and takes colour well with minimal "buckling".

convenient for a painter to take on holiday
The water colour paper pad was a good size to use out of doors and had enough texture to hold the paint and add interest.
