Stars and Their Purpose

Dr Gitt fell victim to the common trap of assuming that the sun, moon, and stars came into existence on the fourth day, which is the same pervasive mistake that, unfortunately, infects the vast majority of sincere believers. In this work, however, this profound error does not actually carry much in the way of ramifications into the rest of the material he presents, for it is not vital to what he imparted in the book.I also disagreed with his take on the star of Bethlehem, but the rest of the book is filled to overflowing with good scientific information that supports rather than vilifies scripture. Flat Earth Theorists will not like this book, but just about everyone else should be able to easily see it value. The book is an easy read, so Gitt did a good job making the complex information attainable to the average reader, and whoever translated his work out of the German also succeeded in this regard. His book is amply filled with pertinent scientific information about the solar system and the universe, so it now has a home with the reference shelf in my library.

I have not read this book yet but Gitt's CREATION MISSIONS INTERNATIONAL dvd -"In the Beginning was Information" on DNA is simple, & well thought out for acomplicated subject that DNA not only shows us how wonderfully & fearfully humans are made, but also, only an intelligent entity could have communicated information in the microbiological world of chromosomes & throughout the body. The cosmological info in "Stars & their Purpose", another book,"Privileged Planet" about the Earth, Solar System & cosmological constantsthat could not have evolved & , at the biological level, the Gitt's DVD, all screamthe God of the Bible is Our Creator.

This book is an older one by Dr. Gitt, but the observations he makes about astronomy and God's purposes in creating the stars are inspiring and timely.

A well written book the novices in the stellar sciences can understand and shre with others. I highly recommend the book.
