Equity Valuation and Analysis w/eVal

The eVal software is available to anyone online- without the book. And to be clear the eVal "software" while fantastic is an excel spreadsheet. Make sure your balance sheet accounts total up and you're set. I didn't' read a single page of this book and bought it only because I figured I needed it to gain access to the software (required for my class work). Turns out that's not the case so save yourself some cash!

The authors of this text did a pretty decent job of explaining a fairly complex subject. It would have been a huge help if a study guide would have been available in order to help the learning process for some of the tougher subjects. The access to the eVal excel template in my opinion is a HUGE bonus! However a little more explanation of how to decipher what to do with the results of eVal would have been appreciated.

this book is more suitable for people who has prior knowledge on valuation models (DCF, DDM, RIM). Pretty advanced writing style. Not recommended for beginner because very few explanation on the concept. This book is written more as an accompaniment for the eVal excel models from the author's website. I recommend you to try download their eVal first and then buy this book.

Required for skool.Teachs good principles on how to determine equity valuation with cases and additional study material.

By far the worst accounting and finance text book. The author did such a poor job in explaining basic concepts, making them far more complex than they truly are. I would recommend just focus on your lecture slides or course pack instead of wasting your time reading this text book.

Very thin book, doesn’t cover same level of details like other valuation textbooks.

Excellent book on how to evaluate equities. Well written with the jargon explained. Assumes basic understanding of accounting principles.The book is great for evaluating USA stocks. So far I have found little about the variations in financel statements in Canada, Europe or Asia. Apparently it is used as a text book at the University of British Columbia. There is an international edition of the book - not sure what is in that.

全部読んでいないけれど、試験を準備するため第四章をしっかり勉強しました。英語も分かりやすく、会計に関する一般的な英語単語も揃っていると思いました。また株価投資に関する部分を読んでみたいところです。もし、勉強中の方々は興味があれば、一緒に検討しながら、勉強を進んでいきたいと思います。
