Very well made!
We are using this on our off-grid property to pump fuel for our generator and diesel heater and other equipment. Very nice to not need an electrically powered pump which fails when our solar batteries are dead and we need to fire up the generator! Seems like it will last a lifetime. How My Star Rating System Works & What They Mean: 1 STAR - Pretty much junk and I would return and ask for a refund if I could. 2 STAR - It works, but barely meets the minimum requirements it should in order to keep it and not return it, but I would not order again. 3 STAR - It does what it was designed to do, but there's nothing really special about it. It's acceptable but not great. 4 STAR - I am very comfortable recommending it to a friend because it is is well made, durable, and delivers on its advertised features, and I would buy it again. 5 STAR - I really love it. The item exceeds my expectations of quality, durability and functionality. Not only would I purchase it again, but I would also actively encourage friends and family to do the same. All of my reviews are my own personal opinion and are completely honest no matter if I receive an item for free or I pay for it. I am an avid Amazon shopper, as well as an Amazon Vine Voice and I personally rely on reading reviews to make all of my buying decisions, so I understand the importance of honest reviews from my peers.

It's functional.
It works. It is light duty though. Since it's the only way I have to get diesel out of my 55 gallon drum it's better than nothing. It does leak a little where the threads are incompletely welded to the end of the spout. On average it takes me fifty pumps per gallon. A five gallon container takes several minutes and two sore arms and 250 +/- pumps. I'm glad I have it but I wish I had spent more for something better. It's totally functional. But I hope you like pumping because 50 gallons of liquid would take you 2500 strokes.

Good pump but a few things
The pump is well made and works. Pumps liquid. I think it really is designed for oily or petroleum based liquids. Not 100% sure but that's what it seems like. The intake tube, which is adjustable, came with some grease in it and feels oily. I got this for pumping drinking water out of plastic water gallons. I think either I didn't read the listing correctly because the construction is too oily. The listing says: "This hand-operated lever drum pump is a great solution if you need to transfer oil, chemicals, or other fluids." But the box says: "Not for use with chemicals". So I'm confused. Can I use it with "chemicals" such as bleach? acids? etc? The pump fits a 2" drum hole. It has an adjustable intake, to help use on different size drums or containers. Easy to pump. As I said earlier, definitely good for oil/petroleum. Not sure about other types of liquids.

Good quality
Good build quality. Good brand, not a fly by night. Easy to operate. Assembles in under a minute. Telescoping tube is long enough for a 55 gallon drum. I like the no drip spout. Seems a bit expensive compared to others, but I think an established brand is worth more than a cheap import. Thumbs up.

A quality hand pump
This may end up pumping diesel before too long, but since it was brand new my kids appropriated it for watering their garden out of a clean 55 gallon drum. Assembly is simple and does not strictly require tools. The draw tube is adjustable in height and at maximum adjustment is taller than the 55 gallon drum. The handle is adjustable depending on how much leverage you need to move your liquid. Instructions were clear and well written. The pump can screw into the bung and fits nicely. The spout has a cover which you can rotate to close to prevent drips - more useful for oil or fuel than water. When the rotating cover is removed, he nozzle is also capable of threading on hoses. Very useful tool for dispensing drum contents. Note that when run by an adult or bigger kid it can really push out a lot of liquid. The operator in the picture was not running it at full efficiency.

Barrel pump for 55 gal drum.
I'm an older seasoned automotive technician, I'm reviewing this product based on my many years of experience in the field using high quality tools. This barrel pump is used in 15 to 55 gallon drums, normally for oil dispensing. We use these in all of our shop barrels for all the different lubricants we have available. The pump kit comes disassembled, so assembly is required. Price point is considered slightly high for this item.

Works as it should
This is what I consider a standard hand operated lever drum pump. Been using them for decades. The only visible change is the tube that is used to reach the bottom of the barrel is now plastic instead of metal. But that change could have been made quite a while ago, since it has probably been a decade since I purchased my last hand pump. Works good, primes quickly, pumps fairly fast (doesn't seem fast enough when you are pumping a full 55 gallon barrel of oil at a time). Like that the dust cover for the outlet stays attached, more likely to be replaced after each use.
