this mouse is well worth the money its precision comfortable in the hand light weight and adjustable Brilliant for thows people who play shooters and games like command & conquer i play various games this mouse is a dream to use better than my old one honestly if your looking for a cheap gaming mouse that's not going to make you bankrupt then this mouse is the one for you i highly recommend this mouse

Initially thought this was a very cheap version compared to the old Cyborg Rat, but it's wearing very well and the palm rest doesn't move around like on the Cyborg. quite please with both the mouse and the software is quite configurable without needing to run in the background or start up with Windows.

This is my second purchase of the Mad Catz Rat 4, it is a good gaming mouse.

I used a Rat 2 for 9 years until the left click started getting a bit spongy. I got the Rat 4 as a direct replacement it is the same except for the extra button on the left hand side. It feels slight more sensitive than the rat 2. I like the ergonomics of the rats they fit my hand pretty well, the thumb rest is perfectly placed for my hand and the buttons are responsive enough for my play style. I use it on the third accuracy setting normally and that lets me adjust it up or down depending on the game. The accuracy settings can also be fine tuned in the software. I don’t use the extendable palm rest myself but it does feel a bit flimsy if you have it pulled out all the way. The 2 thin buttons on the left hand side also feel a bit cheap but I don’t use them for gaming (I have the side buttons mapped to play/pause, previous and next. Works great for controlling YouTube or music without having to tab out). The software is basic but I have had no issues with the mouse and software in my windows 10 PC. Overall I’m really happy with the rat, if you have very large hands it might be too small for you, but personally I find it really comfortable despite its slightly awkward angular styling.

My previous mouse (a more recent model from the RAT series) broke, this has proved to be a great replacement as I’ve been using it now for several months. While I still prefer my previous mouse this is a good alter for a lower price

I am mad cats bias as I have always owned them ! Had an old rat TE and this was a great upgrade

Bought it for husband as he's fan of mad catz products. One of the best, would recommend to everyone.

Update So the mouse lasted just over a year until it stopped registering clicks properly. I tried software updates and cleaning it etc. Contacted the company with no response. Changing to 0 star for these reasons. Good feeling mouse but reliability and support is just disgraceful. Avoid unfortunately. This is my 3rd rat 4, my previous one(which cost £30) lasted just over 2 years. I tried other mice but having got used to this slightly weird shape, it was hard to change. I could only recommend this to other rat mouse users, anyone else - you can get a more premium mouse with more features for a lower price. Its a shame really, i LOVE this mouse, but it needs either a lower price or more premium materials, this one feels really cheap to me even more so than my previous rat 4. ps. ive had no issue with software, works fine for me

This is easy to handle for my lightweight palm and fingers, precise as heck, more or less easy to customize in the dedicated app you can download from the website for this model, cute and slick to look at, original in style without being overly flashy, and the slow-aim toggle is in a usable enough position and feels sturdy/reliable. So, for 44 bucks, pretty amazing I say.

Pour remplacer ma vieille Mad Catz Rat 3 qui malgré le temps avait très bien vieilli, confort sans faille, ergonomique et facilement configurable...une merveille!

Plastique léger et fragile, la molette de celle que j'ai reçue faisait un bruit de grincement en tournant. Article retourné je vais tenter la concurrence (après avoir été content pendant des années de mon ancienne RAT5)
