It is very harsh and sharp light, so you will have to use soft box which i bought their official ones. But square shaped soft boxes are just unusable, always getting removed and forget about inclining them at an angle

I am an editor working for a large corporate creative team. The latest project required some product footage using a motorized slider and a turntable. I am working remotely, with a studio set up in my basement. At first I was using 3 handheld adjustable LED lights and set up some shots. I quickly realized I needed more coverage with some degree of control over temp and exposure. I decided to purchase this set because I've used Neewer products in the past and have had good results. The set showed up the next day, carefully packaged. Set it all up and started shooting. The build quality totally exceeded what I was expecting. The lights themselves and barn doors feel sturdy & solid. The controls area is well laid out and intuitive, the knobs feel solid and adjust smoothly. I was able to quickly adjust the color temp to match the desired Kelvin temp I wanted. The are no markings or readouts for color temp, so you'll need a meter or an app to get it set. The color temp knob is continuous from warm to cool, no detents. Again, I was expecting everything to feel flimsy and I was really surprised at how pro these feel. Tripods are also sturdier than expected - I could lug these around and use them on location in a pinch. Each light unit comes with a padded carrying bag, but I wish there was a carry bag for the tripods as well. Overall I would recommend the set if you're not looking to spend pro dollars to get pro equipment. I've used many different light kits over the years, and I would stack this set against some that cost a lot more.

Bought these for a friend to record self tapes, they've been loving them. Ended up being a little trickier to setup than a pair of larger/traditional soft boxes. We found these cast much harder shadows, especially without a diffusion layer. Adding a bit of distance and playing with their setup was able to resolve most of these issues However, these are significantly smaller and more portable than traditional soft boxes. Once the shoot is over they fold up and pack away into their cases, taking up barely any space. Given the cost of rent, this is a huge deal! Their brightness and temperature is a lot more adjustable than traditional soft boxes of similar price - these just have a few light bulbs, usually of fixed temperature. I would say a lower end soft box may get a little brighter though, but this has been fine for my friend
