Worked for Berol USA for 13 years in Danbury, CT. Mirado was the Cadillac of wood case pencils and we were very proud to manufacture these products. Products offered here were, according to the packaging, manufactured in Shelbyville, TN.By then, the Berol family had sold the company. Still a fine pencil; but not from the 1856 heritage
