ABC and 1,2,3: A Sesame Street Treasury of Words and Numbers (Sesame Street)

We love this book so much that we had to buy one for Mom and Dad’s houses. It’s our great grandson’s favorite book and one of the first things he goes for when he comes over.

I liked this book as one of the better Sesame Street books out there. It's very colorful and cute, but there aren't any stories to read, which isn't very useful for my son during bedtime (which is the usual storytime for him). It's great if you have a Sesame Street theme going though! I bought this book at the same time that I bought bunch of Sesame Street books for my oldest son when he was still a baby.

I go to the the library with my 4 year old every three weeks. When we check out our selection of stories, I always include an ABC alphabet book along with a counting book. I could never find books that counted over the number 10. Very frustrating to demonstrate and teach a child the concept of counting with so many limited number counting books out there. Finally we found this book, that counts from 1-100 step by step. No skipping by 10! When we finally found this book, I checked it out 3 times in a row. I searched online for this book to purchase so we can continue building his counting skills. I was so happy when we found it here on Amazon. Without hesitation I ordered this book to keep in our collection. I am so delighted, that he is now able to count to 100 by memory! I can now share this book with our newest little addition to our family and give her a head start on counting. We need more children's books like this one, that does'nt limit our kids abilities! Thanks so very much!

My four-year-old grandson discovered this at the library and insisted on checking it out. He loved it so much that I bought him his own copy. We have a lot of alphabet books, but this is far and away his favorite. He is fascinated by the scenes with familiar Sesame Street characters, and he is starting to get a better understanding of the alphabet and what you can do with it. The numbers part is less interesting to him, but he is already quite comfortable with numbers and how to use them.I wish we had discovered this when he was even younger, but we are delighted that he likes it now. This is a classic for a good reason. Highly recommend.

This book is loaded with fun pictures that the authors and illustrators creatively designed to include as many words that start with the letter of the page, without being disjointed. The "S" page, for example, features a park scene where various characters are going down the slide, playing on the swings, running through the sprinklers, and even eating a sandwich by a sandbox! Some letter pages have more words than others, but really, how creative can you get with letters like X?! The number section is darling too, and even introduces counting by 10's. My 3 year old loves it, and will definitely continue to grow into it!

We ordered this book after our 4 year old had previously borrowed the book from the local library & he was heartbroken when we had to return it.For the price ($8) and the fact it is a hardcover, our 4 year old can take this book anywhere and we don't have to worry about it falling apart or being destroyed as easily as a paperback edition.On top of this it's a Sesame Street book and our 4 year old is learning while playing with his favorite book is a huge bonus.

I was a little disappointed that some of the ABC letters had only one or two words while others had ten plus. Left some pages kinda empty. Wouldn't have taken much effort for a few more words

Bought this for my son's 1st birthday party. It was a Sesame Street themed party and we used the book as a "guest book" for everyone to sign and write him little messages on any page in the book. It turned out great! It will make a great keepsake for my son one day! The book is a nice size, the pictures are wonderful and it is very well made. I'm very happy I purchased it and would definitely recommend this book!

The pages need to be thicker, sturdier. I love this book but I'm scared my kids are going to rip it apart before they've gotten enough use out of it. The illustrations are very good and the numbers are well done, too. My 4 year old son has been using Letterland to learn his ABCs at nursery school so this book helps to reinforce that but also help him not to become too stuck on the Letterland character, but to learn the letter.My 2 year old daughter is becoming more familiar with the ABCs through this book. She's already on her way to learning her numbers and this is a great teaching aid for her. The pages let the book down.

I bought this book just because of the Sesame Street characters that my daughter love, but when we saw the book together we were amazed by the graphic and the dimension of the book.I'm using it to teach English as second language to my daughter. It's plenty of new words for her, each of them very well illustrated.Great also the idea to add the numbers to the ABC.I suggest to buy this book for a non conventional present that will be really appreciated.

The best early learning activity hard cover book Sesame Street for children.

Bit disappointed as I was expecting a product in 'Good' condition showing a little worn on the spine based on the description from the seller...... It was a book about the alphabet but unfortunately the first couple of pages were missing so my daughter will now think the alphabet goes from E-Z, not A-C! The book itself is great, just a shame the seller didnt tell me prior to purchase that some pages were missing!

Wonderful book with lovely illustrations to help your toddler to learn numbers and letters. Recommended!
