Very deceptive - this is not a higher grade hose - don’t buy
The products works so it gets 1 star. HOWEVER, it’s 5/8” rating is DECEPTIVE. Perhaps, like you, I am willing to pay more for a hose that has a larger water capacity, like the description by the vendor says “5/8” Diameter for Optimal Water Pressure”. However, if you look at the photos I provided you’ll see the 5/8” is the outside diameter that also includes the metal shrouding. The Interior diameter is what determines “Optimal Water Pressure” and is barely a 1/4”. I paid more this hose, and it is actually thinner than a cheaper more sturdy hose. ALSO- take a look at the product picture provided by the vendor, and then compare the black plastic flange in the photo I provided, way different and much smaller, weak, flimsy. I assumed that Amazon sent the wrong hose, since the box has no diameter listing. So I had them send me a replacement which I received today- the photo shows both boxes are identical. This product should be pulled off Amazon site, it is deceptive. DO NOT BUY IT.

OFFERED $40 TO REMOVE POST. Inside diameter smaller than a drinking straw "5/8 inch/16mm" See Pics.
SELLER OFFERED 40$ TO REMOVE POST!! You can imagine how many other 1 star reviews have been removed. DO NOT BUY! Huge waste of your time since you'll be calling amazon and then making a trip to UPS or USPS to return it. Inside diameter smaller than a drinking straw on this "5/8 inch" hose See PicsThe ad says "5/8 inch" for better flow. Check out the inside diameter of this hose! ( I posted two pictures) It can't be more than 7mm across in there! I'm sure a standard pencil is wider than the inside diameter of this hose. I hooked it up just to see how ridiculous it would be. The flow is restricted so much that when you turn the hose on even a quarter of the way, water is shooting out in a tiny stream over 10 feet. It's like having a little funnel tip. If I hooked this up to supply my pressure washer I'm sure the pump would burn out from cavitation. There's no way this hose can supply anything more than a light sprayer tip for lightly watering your potted plants.UPDATE : It gets worse. I hooked one up and the whole head of it broke off on the first day! DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK.

2 broke. 1 after 2 uses.
First, the hose is much thinner than expected. After receiving one, it broke within a month. The metal hose popped out of the plastic coupler where it attaches to the spigot. I thought it was a fluke, so I returned it for another.During the second use of the replacement, the exact same thing happened at the sprayer end, and there was no way to fit the hose back into place both times. It seems like the water pressure is too much if the water is turned on but the sprayer isn’t actively being used. But actually, I *was* using the sprayer the second time and the pressure still blew the hose out of the plastic coupler.Don’t waste your time or money on this product!

Excellent! Please read...
A metal hose is MUCH better than any of the other types, (I'm talking about the drinking water safe ones that is) This one is made VERY well, it cost a bit more, but it's much better than the cheap ones. At the time of this writing, it's currently unavailable, which means I was lucky as I just got mine a few days ago. I REALLY hope it comes back, cause I wanted to get at least one more! If your looking for the best drinking water safe metal hose out there this is it.

Hitting the Buy Again Button
Can the joy of a new hose overcome the angst of living in these difficult times? Yes. I went outside now just to look at it and hold it. It was 40 degrees this morning and I wanted to hose some dirt off a walkway along side my house. A plastic hose would have been completely stiff, but this was wonderfully flexible. It coils beautifully into a little hose basket my wife bought, which the old hose never fit into. It won't kink. Now buying one for the other side of the house. It is a smaller diameter than a regular hose, so a little less water flows through. For that reason, I'm keeping my regular plastic hose for my front yard because sometimes I run a big sprinkler and this might have too much pressure drop for that application.

Great hose
I had previously written a one star review because the hose fell apart. I sent it back. I was sent a replacement that is an updated design due to previous flaws. This replacement has turned out to be excellent. It is very lightweight, does not kink, and coils very nicely. I plan to use it for my RV because it takes up so little space. I think it could be stored in a 2lb coffee can. I would have given it 5 stars except for the small orifices in the fittings which slow the flow somewhat. If they come out with a full flow fitting, I would buy another in a heartbeat.

Hose Came Apart After a Week of Use
The male end of the hose came off after only a week of use, making the hose useless, so I cannot recommend although not sure if it is a manufacturing defect or design deficiency. The hose is held in with a barb and the stainless steel outer layer was meant to crimp the hose to the barb, but the crimp was too loose to hold the end of the hose together.
