I, Vivaldi (Incredible Lives for Young Readers) Hardcover – Picture Book, January 14, 2008

I love this book! We were studying Vivaldi for music history in homeschool and this book was the perfect introduction to Vivaldi. It is a condensed biography told as a story (fiction) but based on fact. The illustrations are beautiful and accurate to the times and place (Venice). I'm glad to have this as part of our home library.

My kids were captivated by this book! The art is beautiful and the story is engaging. It's a great resource to use for Composer Study.

I felt a strong prejudice against the Catholic faith. Vivaldi, even if he didn’t like the priesthood, would not act disrespectfully like a little punk of nowadays. The author just gave her interpretation without going out of her world and time, and trying to understand someone’s real struggle and sincerity of other times. The illustrations are gorgeous though.

I think that the book is just amazing - both the text and illustrations are great.Unfortunately I've made a mistake and expected it to be a sound book (I bought it to my 10-months child to show woth sounds), and that's why I used to return it.I think, I'll wait for 6-8 years and then buy it again

Of the books still in print I could find on Vivaldi, this is the best I found to read aloud to an upper elementary music class. It tells a nice story and overview of his life in an engaging manner.

A wonderful bio for children as well as adults. It starts with his birth and family life. Beautifully illustrated. Put on his music and enjoy. I'm retired but my students would have loved this book. They knew all of his "Four Sesons" thru dramatic movement for "Winter" and words for "Spring" and "Autumn."

Love the red priest. Earliest known rebel! Thank goodness he stood up to his Mom and followed his heart of composing, performing & teaching music. My students will love this story. Vivid pix and fast shipment.

This is a fun book and very beautifully illustrated. It is a fictitious story with the facts at the end. For learning the composers it is a wonderful addition to our collection,

An excellent book, beautifully illustrated. The story is very pleasant to read and accurate in its telling. It will help children to believe in them-selves and to pursue their dreams.
