I wouldn't think perfume oil could be used.

Q: Do you have to fill this atomizer via a funnel or does the bottom of the atomizer have an opening for the perfume bottle's nozzle peg?

hello its filled through a funnel. it takes the exact same time to fill as the other method as one spray in the funnel is the same as one pump in. this also allows for other type of fragrances that dont have a pump to to be used also. we hope this helps. thank you
