I wish I would’ve found this sooner! I have a large dog too, but he’s never even attempted to cross a tiny little gate. Before I found this I was using a childproof gate and it was just super annoying to go in and out every time! And the only place we could put it at our new house was at the top of the stairs, which is a horrible spot! This one came perfectly packaged, Nothing damaged I was worried after reading the reviews. As you can see no paint is missing And I did get An eye hook so I could Have one side mounted to the wall. It was not hard to put in however, it was a tiny screw. I would suggest using screws and never a nail just in case it did split. I absolutely love this My cat can jump over with ease and my little pup Cannot access our basement w carpet! Win win! Highly recommend if you have small dogs! Mine is 4 pounds for reference. And this is huge for her. Very sturdy! Not tippy and a good weight!

This pet gate is pretty good for the price. I got it for my new rescue cat, and he respects the gate. He can easily hop over it, and so can our other pets. They understand that they are not supposed to. So it does work well to keep the animals separated. The look of it is sleek and it can extend to fit practically any doorway. It is not that durable which is probably my only issue with it. If it falls over the wood chips start to break off a bit, but nothing crazy. The wood material seems flimsy for long term use, but it serves its purpose. Good to buy if you need something quick.

Love that it came assembled! Looks so cute and is sturdy. I have a big cat and a Jack Russell terrier mix who I need to keep out of some spaces. I’m sure my cat will jump over it to get to his favorite hiding spot in my closet which is ok. It is something my Jack Russell can get over but she thankfully doesn’t understand that concept it will work for us. If your dog doesn’t get the concept of jumping over things it should work for even medium and large dogs. If your dog does understand that concept this may not n the gate for you. One thing that may be an issue is it is light enough for pets to move or push to the side but we will see I hope they just respect the gate…except the cat he can do what he wants lol

I have 4 of these fences placed across openings for the hallway, upstairs, and the kitchen/dining room so the dogs are confined to certain areas of the house. Our 70 pound poodle won't touch them. If they're across an entryway or doorway, he doesn't even try. Our 30 pound poodle, on the other hand, will just swat it with her paw and go right on in - the little stinker. So they work for some dogs and not for others.

It appears that this was returned by someone after their use as one of the hinges is broken, and one is smashed on the same panel. I have to replace the hinges as I tried to fix the one that is broken, and no go. Perfect height and width for my application and to deter 2 senior dogs from accessing our stairs.

Convenient to move around and store since it folds up so compactly. I'd only recommend using this with well-behaved pets, though. Anyone really determined can easily knock this over. As long as you have that going for you, highly recommend. It also just looks nice.
