Nice caulking tool for a good price.
Works great, slow and controlled release, no drip, easy load, handy tools. Mine didn’t come with a caulk plug as described but still giving it 5 stars as it works very well for a good price.

Great Caulk Gun with much appreciated extras ~ works great!!!
Very nice caulk gun and esp appreciated the included caulking tools and caulk tube plug for $12.99. As the basic no frills no-drip gun was $9.99, so why not!! Gun works great, my 10.5oz caulk tube fit perfectly and caulk job was a breeze. No more self squeezing caulk tubes for this girl! I've graduated to the caulk gun... LOL!!! Highly Recommend!

Truly dripless
Truly dripless unlike others that lie about that. Once you release trigger it stops flowing out. Very good quality for a good price.

Great Caulking Gun, But Rivets Could Use Improvement
The Newborn Octogun 930-GTD Drip-Free Caulking Gun is a solid and reliable tool for any caulking job. The Gator Trigger Grip provides excellent comfort and control, and the 10:1 thrust ratio makes it easy to apply caulk smoothly. The inclusion of a scraper and plug is a nice bonus, adding extra value. The smooth hex rod cradle with the built-in smoother tool helps with precision and cleanup. However, after using it for a while, I noticed that the rivets in the mechanism tend to wear out or wallow after some heavy usage. This is a bit of a drawback, as it affects the overall durability. While it still functions, the long-term wear could be a concern for frequent users. Overall, it’s a great tool for the price no issues with sticking handles or size in tight corners, just keep an eye on the rivets for extended use.

Fit for a carpenter and I like it too
This tool is well made, the quality of both the caulk gun and the rubber trimming tools is very good, and easy for a novice like myself to use. If I can use it and actually do a decent clean slash trim job it must be easy to use.

well designed, well built
After using one variant or another of a basic steel caulking gun for 50 years, I was skeptical of one that tried too hard to do too many things, but I was won over by the Newborn Octogun. It's truly non-drip! Stop pulling the trigger and the caulk stops flowing NOW! The description didn't say anything about the paint or coating being easier to keep clean than other guns, but I found that caulk doesn't want to stick as well to the gun, making clean up that much easier and faster. The handle is comfortable, and I tried an older tube of caulk that had some resistance due to hardening caulk in the nozzle. The Newborn gun trigger took a LOT LESS force to push the calk out than my older, ratchet type. My older smooth rod type gun wouldn't push any out, no matter how hard I squeezed. The attached tools, especially the caulk tube cap/plug are handy as well. I'm glad I chose this one.

Great caulking tool
This is a wonderful caulking gun that I highly recommend. Maybe it's because the previous caulking guns were to cheap, but this one works very well to me and the tools attached helped some.

TOTALLY WORTH IT - ACTUALLY drip free, lightweight, sturdy, smooth & consistent trigger
After using a regular caulking gun for years, I was skeptical this product would be notably better but IT IS. Standard caulking guns require me to release the pressure on the caulk tube even after I release the trigger to avoid the release of caulk. When I release the trigger on the Newborn Octogun, the caulk flow actually stops, hence the no-drip. I can't tell you how many times I would forget to release the pressure on the tube only to look back and see a pile of wasted caulk that I would then have to clean up. • I used on: Trim, windows, bathroom tile, toilet seals (Used both 100% silicone and regular caulk) • Product as described: Yes • Quality: High • Packaging: Ok. • Responses to other reviews: There is no learning curve for this product BUT there is a learning curve for caulking. It is better to watch videos on caulking vs. reading an instruction manual • Me: DIYer @ age 40. PROS: ✔ Drip Free: IT ACTUALLY WORKS - See comment above. ✔ Trigger - Smooth and consistent. ✔ Lightweight, sturdy and comfortable handle ✔ Built in tools - There is a spout cutter and a seal puncture tool. CONS: • NONE!!! TIPS: 🔹 First time: If it is your first time caulking - watch a lot of videos on proper way to do it. It sounds silly for something conceptually so simple but it is an art form. 🔹 Cleaning: Wipe it down after each use - don’t wait until there are multiple layers built up. 🔹 Caulk tube cut: Watch videos on how to cut tube. Sand the tube at the cut. Seems silly but will dramatically improve your caulking. 🔹 Material Compatibility: Ensure the caulk or sealant used is appropriate for the gun's 10:1 thrust ratio, as thicker materials may require more effort
