Fantastic carrier!
I purchased this in June of 2021 and waited until now, February of 2022, to write this review (I wanted to really test it out and see how it held up) and I’m pleased to say I absolutely love this carrier! Keep in mind the attached photos are current so pardon any soil/hair you may see but I wanted to show how it has held up after 8 months. SPACE: I purchased the x-large in case I needed to put both cats in one bag in the event of an emergency then once in a safer place I could open the sides to let them spread out. For regular use it provides my 10 lb cat with a ton of space. SHAPE: Other carriers I’ve had have all ultimately succumbed to collapse and/or the metal rods giving it shape have bent or the tabs holding them in place have ripped. This carrier has maintained its shape and has proven very durable. DURABILITY: Another plus for me is the durability of the mesh used. Said 10 lb cat is not a fan of carriers, or anything that restricts her movement, and has destroyed many a mesh inset. She had a couple of episodes in this carrier and the mesh came out of it no worse for the wear. While she was able to force her claws in the tiny space she was not able to rip through it like she did the others. The zippers are strong and easy to work. FEATURES: I love the ability to open all 4 sides. It allows more options to open the sides when setting the bag down on different sized surfaces. It comes with the standard top and front side access that most carriers have but it goes a step further in allowing access via all the mesh expansions as well. In total you have the 2 animals access points when closed and 5 when expanded! I like this for security reasons if ever there’s an emergency and you need to get your pet out fast. There’s a good sized, secure pocket on one long side to hook over the pull handle of rolling luggage which I also use to loop a seatbelt through in the car. On the same side are 2 tabs for use with straps in a car to attach to a seat or to hang items from like a leash, poop bags (for dog owners), or additional storage/supplies bag(s). The downsides: There’s only a couple of changes I would make to this bag. They’re more of just a nitpick on my part and things I hope the company will consider if they every revamp the bag… 1. There are little velcro tabs on the inside (1 on each length) to help keep the folded mesh contained. They are not very strong and won’t stay hooked. Luckily the mesh is pretty thick and, in combination with the supports, stays in place but it’s still a bit annoying because it can encroach on the available space. I plan on adding my own extra strong, and longer, velcro pieces to each end of the long sides at the very least. 2. Storage space. There is 1 pocked on the narrow back side but it’s very thin and you really can’t put much more in there than a couple of receipts. I have small hands but even I have to squeeze my hand in there and the zipper teeth scrape it. I’d like to see a more spacious pocket when I can store the cats collars and tags when they are home as well as a baggy of food, the tube of medication one of them is on, a small comfort toy (one has anxiety), and emergency information on my girls and how to reach myself or vet for when we are traveling. Right now I have a small makeup bag attached to hold this stuff. It works but it gets in the way and really kind of ruins the aesthetic since it doesn’t match and swings around.

Great Pet Carrier!
I got a new kitten in November just before Thanksgiving and knew I wanted to travel with her. My previous furbaby had a hard case and I rarely traveled with her because it wasn't comfortable or roomy! After searching online and reading reviews, I found this one. It arrived very quickly and was easy to figure out how to expand as shown in the pictures. I used in Thanksgiving weekend to go to my sisters which is a 5 hour drive.; It was easy to travel with, left her plenty of room, and she pretty much feel asleep in it. I used it again for Christmas week, making the same drive and I got the same results. We were there a lot longer but she would find this and sleep & play in it. Overall, it's very sturdy and comfortable with lots of room for you pet. The material is made to last. It would fit a small dog as well.

Great carrier! Fit on Alaska Airlines Flight!
This was the third carrier I bought that I was finally satisfied with. I purchased the Large 18X11X11 and was able to fit my 18lb shih tzu no problem. The expandable sides were a game changer! When we were sitting at our gate, we could expand all four sides to make more of a “pen” for him. Then, when we were on the flight, we could expand one to two sides to give him some more room. As you can see from the photos, he stretched out and fell asleep! There are only a few things I would change about this carrier, which is why I’m only giving it four stars. 1. The base of the carrier is not very sturdy. This could be because my dog was over the recommended weight limit for the carrier. However, compared to other carriers I’ve tried, it still felt flimsy. I actually took the bottom out of a different carrier (much thicker plastic) and put it in this one and then had no issues of the carrier folding in on itself when my dog was inside. 2. The outside pocket on this carrier is pretty much useless. I couldn’t even fit a ziplock bag of treats in it, let alone a leash. It could hold my leash if I was sitting down, but as soon as I would start walking around, it would fall right out of the top of it. 3. I don’t love that there is only one zipper to zip the entire carrier together. This pretty much forces you to load/unload your dog on one side and one side only. 4. The strap is VERY uncomfortable. I wish it was a touch more padded. My shoulder was pretty much dead walking through the airport with my dog inside. Wheels would be amazing, but I’m sure there are more expensive carriers out there with wheels. 5. Once you lay down the mesh, expandable sides, and go to put them back in place, they do not stay in place and tend to fall slightly inside of the carrier. This takes up some room for the animal inside. Other than these five things, I really liked this carrier. The expandable sides are what sold me on it. I had zero problems with my four Alaska airlines flights! I did buy this carrier about two months in advance for my flight and did a TON of training with my dog. Highly recommend doing that with anyone getting ready to fly!

Great Travel Pet Carrier
I'm happy I purchased this travel bag. It is easy to use. The color is nice. I was able to clean the inside with no issues. It fit perfectly under American Airlines seats. My 7mths old Yorkie is small but long. He fit inside of the 18×11×11 bag comfortably. The quality of the bag is great. I used this bag for car rides and trips to the store. It is easy to carry and convenient. The only issue I have is the little storage space but I recommend this bag.

Perfect for flying with bigger pets
We bought this for a recent trip and will be flying with South West airlines. We got the 18” because it’s the size most airlines accept and we didn’t want any of them to turn us away due to having a larger size carrier on top of having a larger dog. Our pup is a 16 LB miniature poodle with a long body and limbs and he fits comfortably in this travel carrier when the longer sides are extended, when not extended he is a little tight. You have to be careful when opening the sides so that the zipper doesn’t catch the inner mesh. We compared our old travel carrier with this one. Here are some of the differences we noticed: - this one has a smaller top making it difficult to put our pup to get in trough the top. He can still lay down when sitting in it incentivized with a treat but he goes in through the side when he can. This is not a problem for us, as long as he can get inside comfortably in any way we are happy. - this one has a smaller pocket but this is also not a problem for us. - this one has one less side without mesh for more air circulation and for him to look out of but our boy will be okay because when we roll him through the airport in it he sits. The only times he’d be fully zipped up is on the plane where he sleeps for the whole flight so we are not worried. Additionally we’ll be taking a small fan for him to stay fresh and have good air circulation on the plane - he is a big and fluffy boy stuck in a warm carrier under a seat so the ac on the plane might not reach him probably. - the bottom is less sturdy than our last one. This is not a problem for us because we won’t be carrying him - we have a rolling base we also bought from Amazon that we roll him in while walking through the airport and while waiting at the gate during long layovers the carrier will be extended on the floor. - when fully zipped he has just as much room on inside as he had with our older and smaller one due to the walls sometimes coming in a bit but they are soft so he can lay against them and flatten them out easily. Overall, it’s perfect for us and what we need it for. While waiting at our gate we can have his new carrier fully extended and when on our flight he can have more room if there’s enough space under the seat to extend one side. I will return with updates of anything goes wrong with the carrier or if the airline gives us any problems due to the carrier and dog we have. I hope this review helps!

A Decent Carrier For The Price But Not Durable
I ordered this pet carrier for air travel in 2021 but didn't have the chance to use it until 2023. I have a 15 lb mixed breed dog. She fits in it with room to turn around. She can fully stretch out if the sides are unzipped so that flaps can come down creating more space. If the sides are zipped up then she curls into a ball like she normally sleeps at home. She doesn't like it but eventually she settles down and goes to sleep in the carrier. I've only flown United with her and the carrier dimensions just barely meet their requirements. I've been able to put the carrier underneath the seat in front of me but in economy plus it still sticks out into the foot space. I've only taken her on flights that are about 2 hours and most on flights the middle next to me was empty so it worked out more often than not. Over 2 years, I've used this carrier on 6 flights and it held up well. On the last flight a few months ago, my dog pawed at the zippers, tearing it and she escaped during deplaning. She ran off the plane, down the jetway and into the terminal. Airport staff at the gate caught her and held her for me as I caught up to her. In the end I got 6 roundtrip flights and 1 one way flight out of this carrier before having to toss it. I still think this was a good carrier for the price point. But it wasn't durable in my experience.

Solid and great quality!
This came packed very nicely. I could not believe what a great quality it turned out to be because the price was very reasonable when comparing with similar products. I am not sure how this would work on an airplane as that is not the purpose I bought it for. I am using this in my RV when we travel because at night my Pomeranian and Chihuahua sleep together in a crate at night instead of in bed with us as my husband does not sleep with dogs. LOLOLOL They love their crate at night. I thought this might work nicely in the RV since it folds up and can be stored during the day quite easily. They love the little "rooms" and since the dogs are so small at 6 pounds each, they have plenty of space to spread out in this travel crate. The zippers are sewn very nicely and feel sturdy unlike cheaper versions. I would imagine this would hold up really well for air travel. I plan on getting another one to use as the "emergency" crate in case of an earthquake or fire or we had to evacuate in a hurry. It would be sturdy when all zipped up to transport them and then it opens up to give them fresh air and space to move around. I would definitely recommend this to someone with small dogs. The little pad fits nicely and is soft also.

Cat can rip the mesh, buy something else
My cat travels with us, so we bought this to make him comfier while we wait in airports, etc. because it expands open. The expansion part was nice, and he did lay in the extra space. HOWEVER, the quality is terrible. He scratched the roof of the carrier and put a hole in the mesh, mid-flight mind you. Terrifying thought that he might be able to rip through the mesh on all sides - because he definitely could have. The mesh is a plastic-like materiel, rather than fabric so thick back claws can rip right through it. That alone gets it one star. The layout isn’t great either. There isn’t a lot of breathability to the bag since you tuck up the expansion floors and the block the sides. Plus, it’s lined with fur. It gets hot in there. The additional floor space doesn’t tuck up well either. There’s a Velcro strip in the middle but the floor sags into the carrier on the sides. When you use the should strap to carry your cat the bag elongates, basically centering him in padded walls close around. We wanted to love this bad because of the extra leg space, but we tossed it after one use.
