Who Do You Love?
I have just closed the book on the last page of Meet Me in Scotland by Patience Griffin, the 2nd in the Kilts & Quilts series that takes place in the village of Gandiegow and my heart is full. As I suspected some of the characters have moved on to take up residence from the first book in the series to a front and center while others have taken more of a secondary role to introduce another set of new inhabitants of this magical place with its harsh weather and challenges of real life and how both good and bad things are worked through. I found the life long friendship of Claire and Emma have been drawn back together for one reason, but of course well intended interventions and manipulations have unforeseen consequences and like a skein of wool become entangled and untangled and entangled through it all in many many ways. I think anyone who found escape in To Scotland with Love will not be disappointed with this book, and there is yet another addition to this easy and riveting read, due for publication in the Summer of 2015.

Easy Read
A good break from my usual type of reading. Good stories, did not much care for explicit content. Just not my thing. But it is nice to have a reasonably happy ending to something.

Meet Me in Gandiegow
This is the second novel in the Kilts and Quilts series. I loved the first one. This one, focuses on the lives of Emma, a therapist, who comes to Gandiegow to hide, and Gabriel, the town hunk, turned doctor. In my opinion, the theme is "I love him, I love him not." "I love her, I love her not." Both of these people have advanced degrees, and yet, seem to spend their time NOT working --- their lives revolve around avoiding each other and then, oh, trying to seduce the other. The characters of Gandiegow are so charming, and full of depth. These two, just skim the surface. Emma's good friend, Claire and her husband Dominic, run the local restaurant. Their life revolves around her wanting a baby and, manipulating the townfolk not to eat at the restaurant. Whiney. We don't get much of the quilting party and that's where Emma shined --- when she was giving advice. That was when she had some depth. Gandiegow is full of wonderful, thoughtful, cantankerous people and I love the small town family they have become. I hope novel three is back to five stars.

Delightful characters and an Unforgettable Village
What a lovely story! It's a two-fer! Two interesting relationships for the price of one - and I've fallen in love with Gandigow. Nay, I really mean it, I LOVE Gandigow. This quaint Scottish fishing village has won my heart. I wish it was a real place so I could go visit. But as it is, I will simply have to depend upon Ms. Griffin's books to sail me there from time to time.I've already ordered her next one. Some Like It Scottish: A Kilts and Quilts Novel . Sigh.In this story, all four protagonist intertwine masterfully. I love the contrast between characters. The main heroine is a bit shy and reserved while her best friend is a temperamental spitfire. VERY fun dynamics. Well worth reading.

While in Scotland, I met the author by accident ...
While in Scotland, I met the author by accident on a Sunday boat trip to the Isle of May off the Fife Coast. She was staying in the same village I was staying, and it wasn't until our second visit did she tell me she was an author. Her fondness for Scotland is genuine and coupled with her own passion for quilting, I say she has found her nitch in the literary world.

A Wonderful Romance!
I’ve not been a huge fan of contemporary romances before, but reading this one by Ms. Griffin has definitely made me change my mind about contemporaries. And because the setting was in Scotland…well, let’s just say I was curious and bought the book, and then I loved the story! Ms. Griffin has a no-nonsense, plain-spoken writing style that made this story so easy to read and understand and enjoy. Gabriel and Emma are an “opposites attract” couple in this romance, and it was fun to see how they ran circles around each other and with the close-knit village folk – to finally reach their happy ending. It is definitely a sigh-worthy story and now I want to read more by Ms. Griffin.

I really loved this book
I really loved this book! While I was frustrated with the main character, I cheered her on with gusto as she learned who she really was. The book has kind of two plot lines and the second one is pretty sad, but who doesn’t love a good cry. I would love to see this book made into a movie. It would be one that could make you laugh and cry and melt. Think Matthew Goode or Ian MacGregor and Anna Kendrick? The scenery would be worth the ticket cost alone!

Great Read
Well written! Further develops the characterization of Gandigow and brings the charming residents further to life. Too bad it is a fictitious place.... sounds like a great place for a quilting retreat!!!

Heartwarming
Enjoyed this story. Enjoyed the characters and the portrayal of small town life is very accurate. They either love you or hate you and that decision can change in a heartbeat. I would recommend this book to anyone.
