Color Appearance Models

a modern classic in an appropriately expanded third edition. anyone interested in colorimetry or the control of color in imaging applications should have a copy. i've read it through three times and have gained new insights each time. clearly written, judicious and careful to keep the important issues in view.

A well written book on a complicated subject. It is not a read once and but it on the bookshelf book. It is an invaluable reference.

Only thru the first chapter, but should be a must for color graders and color correction personnel in the entertainment field!

Color Appearance Models is the single best resource available regarding colour appearance. Mark D. Fairchild has compiled years of expertise in this volume that should be on the shelves of anybody serious about colour science.

Great book. Already for some time meant to buy it. This gives a very complete overview of color appearance models up to the most recent (at least to the publishing date) research references. A must have to anyone who wants to specialize in the area of color, color vision, color measurement etc.Explanations are clear with informative graphics and photos. Highly inspirational.
