Microsoft Xbox 360 20GB Console White (Renewed)

I was apprehensive about getting a refurb of such an old console, but I specifically needed nothing more exotic than a 360. The set from Retrorefresh arrived quickly and well-packaged, and was complete. Most of the pieces could have passed for new or almost new. Unfortunately, the console itself had a ding in the corner, probably suffered during packing or shipping. The unit would not boot up. I emailed Dan at Retrorefresh, as instructed on the card that came with the unit. He immediately offered to send me another unit. The new set arrived about four days later, and was just as nice as the first. It booted up easily, and after updating the firmware, I was able to use the unit just fine. I boxed up the defective unit using the original packaging materials and sent it back to them immediately. Two things impressed me about Retrofresh: The components had been well cleaned and packaged (unlike some of the horror stories that one hears about refurb products); and Dan's quick, no-questions-asked response when I reported a problem. I would gladly deal with these guys again.

I had to return this Xbox-360 for a few reasons. Two of the three front panel input doors were missing and it was unsightly. (See the photos) The controller didn't work, thanks to a faulty battery case. AND, the most annoying thing about this Xbox-360, was it wouldn't play half of my games. Those games were purchased over the years from Walmart here in the United States and worked fine on the Xbox-360 unit that went belly-up that caused me to need a replacement. But when I tried to play them on this "renewed" console, a message popped up stating "this disc's region code is incorrect for this console". SO... this replacement was NOT any good. Luckily Amazon refunded my money as an Amazon Gift Card because they said it would take 4-6 WEEKS for the refund to take effect on my credit card. Oh well. Good luck if you decide to purchase one of these "renewed" consoles here on Amazon. :(

Despite the reviews it’s actually pretty good. I’m pretty iffy on buying things like when it comes to used. Great experience buying it off of here. The console gave me the region error but this was remedied with the bad update exploit and the badavatar exploit. The only noticeable damage was the Memory card A slot but it’s an old device. Can’t expect more from it. The faceplate is easily swappable for a new one. The fan is a bit loud but again obviously expected. Good value buying it with affirm. Update, I ordered a spare faceplate from Amazon that wasn’t OEM and I was able to replace the memory slot card. Third pic is the new pic. This console is much cheaper for $10 and with the newbadupdate or bad avatar exploit it’s so much than paying $29.99 for gamepass. You also get to own your games. halo matchmaking is revived. People still play Gears of War as well.

Excellent condition and works great. I got it to play some classic Xbox games and after signing in and downloading updates I was good to go. Does not have WiFi capability, needs to be plugged in via Ethernet.

I wanted to give this five stars because it was clean, everything worked and I was happy with the product. But… It still had someone’s account on it and I had to factory reset it.

The 1st time playing we got about 1 1/2 hours of play time, then had 3 red lights come on and it won't even boot up.

Came with a complete XBOX 360 with wire hook ups, controller, console and 120gig storage. NOTE that it has the old school wire hook up with the 3 color plugs (yellow, white and red) it does NOT plug into a HDMI smart flat TV. NOT THE SELLERS FALT, THIS IS AN XBOX 360, TECHNOLOGY HAS CHANGED SINCE THEN. But there is a wire you can get from Amazon to make it HDMI compatible. I have an older flat screen so I could play one of my favorite games. It worked perfectly. So glad to play this game again. I will be ordering the HDMI cable soon so I can play it on all my TVs.
