These dishes are simple, durable, and easy to stack. If you grew up in the US, you might remember these from your parents' or grandparents' house. This style of plate is made from a laminated glass since around 1970. The vitrelle glass is super resistant to breakage. You can drop these on a hard floor and they usually don't break. I have had a set for many many years and finally had enough loss and attrition that I needed to order more. When the new ones arrived, they were exactly the same as the traditional set, and thus stacked perfectly with my old Corelle vitrelle plates and bowls. They aren't fancy, but they don't call attention to themselves. The durable material makes them great for everyday use, while the plain white design is great for blending in to a nice table setting when you are getting a little formal. One additional feature that I much appreciate is that the bowls are shaped in a way that they fit easily in a dishwasher (some bowl shapes are too deep and don't stack well in a dishwasher - these fit well). My last set has lasted for decades, and this new set seems to be exactly the same.

I got this Corelle Vitrelle 18-piece set mostly because I wanted something classic, durable, and not too heavy and it delivered exactly what I hoped for. The plates and bowls have a clean, timeless look that fits any table setting, and what really surprised me is how light they are without feeling flimsy. My mom has arthritis, so lightweight dishes are a must in our kitchen. These are easy for her to handle, stack neatly in the cabinet, and so far have held up perfectly through daily use and many dishwasher cycles. The glass feels solid and doesn’t chip easily, which is great because we’ve had other sets that cracked within weeks. If you’re looking for a simple, elegant dinnerware set that’s practical for everyday use (and especially good if someone in the family struggles with heavy stoneware), this set is a solid choice.

These dishes will never go out of tyle. They are lightweight and stack nearly, taking up very little room in the cabinet. These dishes are chip resistant, so they withstand daily wear and tear.

This dinnerware has the beauty and translucence of fine bone china with a very strong, break resistant, stain resistant and dishwasher safe special layered glass composition. The Frost White is much prettier than I expected. The plates and bowls are lightweight and are designed to stack compactly, making good use of space in your kitchen cabinets. This set replaced a set of Corelle purchased in around 1970, that has now been determined to have lead in the glaze and possibly the decoration. Although they were showing their age, most of the many pieces were still in good enough condition to use. Corelle is a good value for the money, giving you the elegance of fine bone china at a reasonable price. They are also made in the USA. My main complaint is that it appears that the set that I received are possibly "seconds" as almost every piece has a minor cosmetic flaw, like a small area without the final shiny glaze. Some of the bowls have reinforced bottoms, my ancient unreinforced Corelle bowls had started to shatter, and some of them do not, which is a quality control issue. The box was packed very well, there was no damage done during shipping, and the box was packed and shipped from the factory. If you would like dishes that are shiny, sturdy and lightweight, chip and break resistant, and that will last you possibly a lifetime, Corelle is a good choice. There are many different shapes, textures and decorative styles so you will be bound to find one that you love.

Beautiful plates that can be used with any decor for any everyday or special event. They are NEARLY unbreakable, but they can be chipped or broken if treated very roughly. I've used Corelle Livingware for 40 years. This will be my 3rd set. The first was a floral set I received many, many years ago as a gift. I only had 8 place settings of that. Then I inherited a set of 20 from an aunt in a different floral pattern that I never really liked. FINALLY, I am happy to own 12 place settings of this beautiful white livingware. I am so happy to find that it is still made in the USA. I ordered 2 of these dinner sets, and a number of serving and supplemental pieces, including the luncheon plates. All was packed very well and arrived in good order. I don't know why there are bad reviews on here because of people not reading the product description. Just because someone did not see that it clearly says "Dinner Set" in the description (thus giving a hint that there are no luncheon plates in the set); or even somehow missed that the description of what's in the box explicitly says "Bread and Butter Plates", not "Luncheon Plates", then they should not be removing stars from the product. They made a mistake. That does not merit a poor review of the product. In my opinion, there is no way to go wrong with Corelle Livingware. It's dishwasher and microwave safe, and will almost always withstand being dropped or clanked against the sink. In addition to all of that, it is simple and elegant on the table. It can be dressed up or down for any occasion. I am so happy to finally have a complete set of a pattern I chose for myself. This will be the last set of dishes I ever have to buy.

I loved this, it's a great set for those new to adulting or just wanted a updated matching set. Various sizes, microwave proof, matching and easy peasy to clean. I feel like such a adult with these new dishware.

Llevamos con ella unas 2 semanas. Me ha gustado, es ligera y resistente. Aguanta el uso cotidiano en lavavajillas y microondas. Los cuencos tienen una profundidad adecuada para tomar cereales o sopas.

Known for their durability these are great for group functions. Confirmed dishwasher safe. They are working great for team luncheons.

Ich war skeptisch, doch zu Unrecht: 4 Stürze (2x Dielenboden, 2x Fliesen) haben Schüsseln und kleine Teller bereits überstanden. Chapeau! Für einen Haushalt mit Kleinkind ist dieses Geschirr perfekt. Auch die bestechend schlichte Optik gefällt mir: ein herrlich glänzendes (gegen Licht gehalten leicht durchscheinendes) Weiß, mehr braucht es nicht. Nebenbei: etwas verwundert las ich den Kommentar einer der anderen Rezensentinnen "Könnte bisschen Färbe vertragen, zu weis [sic]" - nun ja, wenn man ein weiß abgebildetes Geschirr namens "Winter Frost" bestellt, bekommt man vermutlich nichts Quietschbuntes.... Noch ein Tip(p) am Rande: bitte auf die Maße der kleinen Teller achten - ich habe es nicht getan und war wenig begeistert von dieser "Größe". Aber jemand anders findet es so vielleicht genau richtig, nur vorbereitet sollte man darauf sein.
