The quality of this cover is great, it works as designed and looks great on my truck. It was easy to install with a 1/2" and 9/16" wrench being the only tools needed. The instructions were easy to read and follow. The price was reasonable although there were lower priced ones available. I chose this one because it has a 10 year warranty on the tarp and lifetime warranty on the frame. Some of the others didn't even mention a warranty. It was packaged good and arrived undamaged 3 days early. Kudos to the seller for the prompt shipping.

I rarely write a product review and felt compelled to write this review as I'm so impressed with the design and quality of this bed cover. It took less than an hour to install and it fit like a glove on my 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 with the pro tail gate. I've had other covers on my previous trucks and this one is superior in so many ways. It's constructed of all aluminum so it will out-last the soft cover ones. Looks great installed as it lays even with the bed top. Each section locks to the bed so that you can ride with the cover folded once, twice, or even with it fully open and resting against the cab (struts lock it in place so that you can actually ride with it fully open). The fact that you can fully open it to rest on the cab means that you will rarely have to fully remove it to access the full bed The quality of the cover is way superior to most of what is produced today. This cover will outlast any of the soft, non-metal top covers (and hard covers that have a non-metal overlay) where the stitching starts to decay rapidly. It is well worth the higher cost.

When I first bought this Gator EFX tri-fold cover for my 2021 Silverado I was happy with it. The install went smooth, the fit was right on, and it gave the truck a nice sleek look. I even rated it 5 stars in the beginning because it seemed solid and well made. For a while I honestly thought I had made the perfect choice. Fast forward and now it’s a completely different story. The screws started coming loose and falling out, which should never happen on something like this. Then the pull strings that are supposed to open the cover stopped working. That basically makes the whole thing useless since you can’t even open it properly. What really frustrates me is that this truck bed cover has barely been used. I don’t open my tailgate all that often, so there’s no excuse for it to wear out this fast. It feels like this cover was made more for looks than actual use. Sure, it still looks good sitting on the truck, but what good is that if it can’t even function the way it’s supposed to? When you buy a hard tri-fold cover you expect durability and reliability, not for it to fall apart after minimal use. I was expecting a product that could hold up for years and actually protect my truck bed. Instead it’s been a waste of money. Really disappointing experience. If all you want is something that looks nice in the driveway, maybe it’s fine. But if you need a tonneau cover that actually works and lasts, I would recommend looking at something else.

Quality seems solid overall. Rail systems are simple and fairly easy to install. The design isnt perfect for these Silverados. The clamp nearest the tailgate cannot be mounted close enough to the end leaving a little play in the rail. This can make the locking functionality difficult. I would add those cork pad strips they give you to these areas and it will help. Not sure how it will do long term but I was able to get it working as designed. Same issue with the water management tubes. Clamps are too close to allow easy install. The weight is light enough for one person to install. Its easy to clean and looks great. Very low profile.

I love the looks of this cover on my truck. It can probably be installed with one person but it helps to have two sets of hands. Cover fits perfectly!

This is my 3rd Gator cover and definitely my last. The first two were great and I’ve recommended them to friends. This one was a huge pain to the A. The 20 minute install is more like a 3 hour blood pressure explosion. This company has went downhill. First, the rails weren’t even completely painted, had to spray the last 6” of both with a rattle can. One rail was bent, I was able to beat it back to almost straight. The lock nuts used to attach the stops bind inside the rails or turn inside the rail with any amount of pressure. The drain tubes don’t snap into the holes and stay put, just fall out. It’s about an inch short of the tailgate. And probably the most infuriating part, there’s two tiny little screws that go in the top of the end cap. If you drop one, you are screwed. Not finding that one. Would it bankrupt the stinking company to throw me one extra screw! They’re tiny man, come on! This thing is not worth $1k and I’m not spending my life taking the thing back off and sending it back, it’s way too big. So nice job Gator, you got me. Ripped me off just as planned. But hear this, I will never buy anything from you again and I will advise everyone I know to avoid Gator as well.

First perfect. Sturdy and strong. Little complex to line up but it’s great quality and worth the purchase. FYI it’s not 100% water tight. But 95% is good enough for me.

the cover itself feels decent, doesn't feel thin and cheap. I found the instructions it came with just terrible. I just googled my model truck and gator cover and followed some dudes youtube vid. it was also missing one of the nuts that holds the back of the cover to the truck. had to go to hardware store and pickup another 9/16 nut. overall im ok with it all, saved a few hundred bucks over what was available locally for me. install took like 30 min all in very simple. 1 other thing to note, the bolts that hold the back of the cover to the rails are very long, you will need a tall 9/16 socket to get it properly tightened down, a short one will bottom out before its tight even. cheers. Updated review Nov 2023: it's been 4 years since I bought this, gotta say it was money well spent, it has held up under snow loads and intense east cost weather. I would buy this thing again in a heartbeat if I needed one. Just a great cover all around. N0 buyers remorse. Cheers.

Just installed on my 2019 gmc crew cab fits and looks great. Doesn’t effect the operation of power tailgate works great. Easy install in about 15 minutes looks like good quality

It was fairly easy to install. Shipping was a nightmare. It was delayed twice and took a week longer to be delivered than expected. Once installed, I realized that there was a part missing off the right side rail (a header stop). Sent an email to their warranty claim department but never got a response. So I phoned Gator and they gave me a different email address to send pics of what was missing. I got the right part sent me (almost a week later) but the bolt to attach it to the rail was wrong. Luckily had one in the garage. It looks good and seals not to bad, but find it very weak and flimsy compared to other tonneau covers I’ve had in the past. It has only 2 support tubes that go from rail to rail to hold up the cover. I think it would benefit from a third one and would be better if those tubes were a bit more beefy. But I did get it for a super cheap price ($258 CDN delivered), so if I can get a few years out of it I’ll be happy.

This is just what I was looking for! I had it installed within 30 minutess, great fit and real low profile for a roll up. The cover seems to be great quality as well as the Velcro. It locks down snug and for $300 to the door, I have zero complaints and will recommend to anyone!

Installed in 20 mins by myself on my 2022 Sierra. Fits great and looks good. Happy with purchase.
