This is a wonderfully engaging survey related to basic questions about the Christian faith. Eric Metaxes does not couch his answers in long theoretical arguments(which sometimes seem designed more to confuse and avoid than explain). Instead, there are straightforward, honest and unapologetic answers to questions people really ask. I did not agree with every answer, but I appreciated the heart and reasonableness (they were still answers that represented true Christian belief) of even of those answers with which I did not agree. This is a readable, share-able resource that explains Christian belief.

This is such an amazing book filled with questions I never thought to ask but always wondered about. This is the perfect book for any young or old adult. Being head of the Worship at my Church I purchased copies for all of our Graduates to take to College with them. I know when I was young and starting life I questioned so much. Had I had this book when I was that age I feel that I would have given my life over to Christ so much sooner. If you have a young one or someone who is questioning their faith I highly recommend this book to them!

Metaxas answered all the questions I’ve had about Christianity. He also interjects some humorous comments. It reminds me that our Christian walk is serious but we, as new Christians, may have some humorous bible interpretations. I will be referring to this book often.

Really bought this for a new Christian, but have been thumbing through it. Great answers to great questions with "normal" answers... not some theological review that is hard to understand or comprehend.

Funny and informative, this book isn’t some dry treatise on faith but approaches the questions many people have about God in a straightforward and non-threatening way.

I think a new Christian or someone wondering about God would find this book helpful.

I always find these books interesting. Some tough questions in there and some wise and helpful answers. I think it is always good to be prepared to give an answer for the reasons for your faith. Good beginners book at the least and will help you on a good deal.

But for the rest of us, it provides answers and explanations. The author has a goo sense of humor, so the book is also entertaining to read.
