Stetson Catera 5X Fur Felt Cowboy Hat

A very nice 5X hat for the price. I purchased it from Outland USA through Amazon. Outland did an excellent job. Delivery was very fast, it was packaged well, and arrived in perfect condition. Five stars for Outland. The Stetson Catera Gun Club hat is very nice, but like others have described, the hat band was not centered. I had to detach it, reposition and then reattach it. Not a big deal, but Stetson's quality control should have caught that, especially since others have also described this as a common issue. 4.5 stars for Stetson. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. The color is slightly darker than the photo depicted on the Amazon listing with a predominate green tint. The color lightens up a bit depending upon the lighting. It is a Medium Brown/Green color. I believe my attached photo more accurately shows the actual color than what is shown on the Amazon product photo. I hope my description helps, it is a very nice and very comfortable hat. It does seem to run slightly large.

Fits great I ordered a 7 1/4, snug front and back but it needs to stay on your head. Love the color and the look, I think it will last for a long time. Needed a hat for fishing on the Kenai river and I think this will work great! I used Nick wax spray to coat the hat for waterproofing which is supposed to work really well but not had a chance to try it out in the rain. Very happy with my purchase!

Great Hat! The fit is right-on. The felt has the silky feel I expect of a good 5X fur felt hat. The shape is perfect for my tastes. FYI. I have a few hats of very good material and of good crown and brim size, which I felt a need to reshape. A couple I completely reblocked. Not this one. The hat-band is quiet, and in that lies a touch of elegance. No need to remove it and make a new one. The price seemed reasonable. Much more so now that I have seen, touched and worn the hat.

I’ve bought 2 of these hats. The first was the Stetson Gun Club made for Filson. I found it to become constrictive after working and sweating into the band. I ordered a hat stretcher with the second one, and have had no problems. The band on the version from Stetson is nicer, and the hat was actually less expensive. Highly recommend, probably the most complemented thing Ive ever worn.

Beautiful hat! I usually wear the Stetson 10X Straw Royal Flush, but decided to try felt. The seller shipped quickly and carefully. I'll do business with the again!
