My 20 years old Kolher faucet started to drip. This is my second time to replace this valve. First two was a original Kolher parts. This one seems to be working. I have it installed for 6 months. I haven’t see any dripping yet.

I'm pretty handy, but I'd never replaced one of these and its pressure balancing unit before. The installation instructions that came with it were cryptic, but with them and the old unit I was able to figure it out. Once the shower control was back together and turned to the "off" position, the shower dripped, about one drop every five seconds. The screws that hold the trim on go into the cap; the top one went in fine, but the bottom one became harder and harder to turn, until when it stuck out about an inch it wouldn't go any farther. Finally, I went to the local home center and bought genuine Kohler, which installed, no problem, and doesn't drip. Six days ago, I sent an email to the service address on the instructions asking about the dripping, but have not heard anything from them. Buy Kohler; it's not much more expensive, and much less trouble.

Very reasonably priced! It’s pretty easy to install if you know the basics of plumbing. For my end it was just making sure I take the old one out and placing this one in. The fit was fine, very happy with how it operates after I put everything together!

We are so happy with the results of replacing this Mixer Balancing Cap Assembly Replacement for Kohler GP77759 and the pressure mixing valve together as recommended. We were having issues with the water only coming out hot. Replacing both the mixer and balancer at the same time did the job and without any leaking issues that others have complained about. As long as you are taking the the shower apart and replacing one of this, just spend the little extra money to replace both - you will NOT regret that decision. How much is a few hours of your time to redo this? We feel like we have a new shower for our guests with no leaking issues.

I bought this to replace a leaking bath/shower. I installed it and it is still leaking, although not as much as the old one. I need to take it apart and see if there's anything that can be adjusted. For that reason, I'm giving it a 3 and will update if I can get it working correctly.

I would recommend ordering the balancing unit as well. In my case, the valve would not work properly with the old balancing unit. My guess is that this is especially relevant if you have hard water (like I do).

I do not recommend this store. If the item does not work for you, you will have to return it, but they do not refund the return shipping cost, which is not a small amount — even though I had Amazon Prime. Also, the parts I received look very cheap and defective.
