This switch is simple to setup and is perfect for increasing the number of ports on a home network. I like to connect computers to the network using wired connection wherever possible, and have a server and a printer on the network as well. I was short of ports when an old router that I used as a switch (i.e. with the radios and DHCP turned off) died. I looked for a replacement and settled on this one. I have always liked Netgear products as they are usually well built and work great. So far I am very happy with this switch. Highly recommended.
