If you are getting ready to deploy Cisco Firepower, then this is a great buy. If you've already got it up and running, then you've probably already learned 90% of what's in this book.

Configuring a Cisco Firepower firewall with Firepower Threat Defence is not necessarily easy. This book gives an important overview of what is required and specific advice as to how to do it properly. A firewall that is not properly configured is less than useless, a situation that this book helps avoid.

An excellent read if you were using Cisco asa's. It was helpful to finally understand what all of this FTD, FMC and sourcefire terms all are about as someone coming from an ASA that hasn't had a chance to play with the new next-gen firewall stuff yet. Quite a few noticeable typos too :)
