Warm, flexible enough for swimming, fit slightly large for very small hands
I was looking for a pair of gloves for open water swimming in the Puget Sound. I had tried many on at a diving store but most were not flexible enough. I took a chance on these. They are snug around the fingers which is what you need. They have a grippy plan. Wrist area has a velcro strap which seals out the water. They are 3mm with a 5mm palm. The pink color was very cute and matches my cap. These performed well. They are reasonably flexible. They did not interfere with my crawl stroke. They kept my hands warm in the cold water. They were easy to tighten around my wrists. I ordered a size Sm. They will work for me.The only 2 criticisms are: I have small hands and the fingers were about a 1/4" too long and the wrist straps were too loose for my wrists. I had to pull the velcro tight and stick the bottom edge of the top strap to the bottom edge of the lower strap. That is why I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating.

I am very happy about the dexteraty they offer
I live in Washington state, the water temperature is 47 degrees. I've currently logged 18 hours worth of dive time wearing these gloves. I am very happy about the dexteraty they offer. The gauntlet of the gloves is rather tight, but I consider that a good thing. I normally put a couple rubber bands around the wrists of my gloves to keep water from entering and exiting. These gloves eliminate the need for them and seal the sleeves of a wetsuit extremely well. The longevetity of them already seems worth the 15$ price. I'll get back to you on how many hours I dive before they begin to rip. Overall, I am very happy with them and intend on purchasing another pair in the near future.

These are not water tight at all !
I work in the midwest for a pool company, with closing these pools the water is real cold, I was looking for a glove that did not allow the water , especially ice cold water, these gloves leak like a sieve, I tried them for 2 weeks and I'm better off putting plastic bags on my hands to keep them dry ! Would NOT buy again

5mm may be stiffer than you think
These seem like well-made gloves, which I bought to keep in my car for when I need to go out and remove lots of ice and snow. However, one caution. I find that the 5mm-thickness gloves are pretty darn stiff, making it somewhat harder to perform slightly finicky work (like using screwdrivers or wrenches). Need to dig your car out from under a ton of snow or scrape frozen windows? These babies will do the trick of keeping your hands from freezing, especially in combination with thin glove liners. Need to tighten the bolts on your trailer hitch when it's 10 degrees outside? Maybe consider the 3mm instead. But, like I say, the construction of these gloves seems solid, whichever size you choose.

DO NOT BUY
I bought these gloves for use while gold prospecting in the winter. I have a much nicer pair of dive gloves that I use for snorkeling, scuba, and dredging but I wanted a pair just dedicated for mining so I didn’t destroy a very expensive endive pair of dive gloves I’ve had for about 9 years. As soon as I got them I was pretty concerned about the long term derailing of the tension bands around the wrist, the Velcro they attach to, the stitch king on the glove itself and straps, and the sealing. Today I finally got a chance to put them to use and all of my concerns were dead accurate. Within second of putting these gloves into the water the right gloves was already leaking. The leak wasn’t from the tension bands, but from the poorly sealed and loose stitched seams. As the day progresses, the “grip” started wearing off both gloves, stitching started ripping through on the Velcro straps, and the glue “sealing” the gloves catastrophically failed in multiple spots. Had the gloves not been think, I’d have lost all feeling in my hands instead of just my fingers. Also note from the photo the grip coming off of the glove. Notice how some are shinier than others. That isn’t shine, that’s whatever material they used for the “grip” actually starting to disintegrate from being wer. Think of it like when you get pruney from being in the water all day (like my hands were after a day of using these junk gloves) but on the material. How one manufacturers a product designed for use in water that fails because of water is beyond me.I didn’t expect much buying these gloves, as they were only ~$20. However, I did expect them to make it through *at least* the first use, which they couldn’t even manage. Will be returning for a refund. Just poor craftsmanship.

Pass
Good if you don't mind your hands being wet and cold. I could see using these while snorkeling in warm waters with hands the size of a toddler. Buy big, swim warm waters or pass...

great high quality gloves from a reliable supplier
the first pair of gloves I ordered did not fit. according to their size chart I needed a large, but my hand was toward the higher end of the size range.when I requested a return, SURF and SNOW WAREHOUSE responded immediately and it was a no hassle pleasant experience.I then ordered the extra large and they fit perfectly and are high quality. very comfortable.super happy with this seller and their gloves.but if your hand is in the middle or higher of the size range do order the next size larger. I did suggest to them that they revise their chart but I think they are unlikely to do that.

Will update after further testing- see note
Updated: the MFG ensures me that these should have sufficient grip for WW kayaking. That I most likely ordered too small of a size. I will try a larger size, since they are so willing to make me happy and will update.Original: I used these yesterday in class III rapids and had a very hard time holding on to my paddle. I think these are great and appropriate for many things. I do a lot of other sports and will keep them, but just be cautious of using these in white water. Wax would help but I still probably won't try them again for this purpose.

The little sticky hexagon shaped dots on the palm area wear off quickly.
Just after a couple of uses, some of the dots peeled off, especially around the hot spots. The glove itself feels solid despite my in-between hand size (between small and medium). I would give it a 5 start if the dots were more durable.May 10, 2022 update:I've thrown out the gloves. They still work, the water comes through pretty quick but not too bad. However, the gloves smells a lot. I always wash it with mild soapy water after each use and air/sun dry them. But the lingering sour smell after just a few hours of paddling really ticks me off. And the gloves becomes sticky to the hand probably due to material used. So I had to let it go.

Nice gloves but watch the sizing.
Measured my hand... 8.25" circumference, and 7.5" length.Chart said order Medium. Based on reviews I up-sized, and ordered Large.Large fingers are a hair short, but wearable. Overall snug. Don't think a Medium would have fit.Wrist strap is weak so did not cinch well for me. (All hands are different though.)Overall a nice glove for the money... but beware the sizing.

They fit snug
I love that these gloves do not let the water get in during kayaking. They are durable, and I use them to move and transport the kayak as well and they hold up. They keep my hands warm even in January Canadian waters, and they stay dry! They do, however, fit very snugly. I would probably get a half size up next time because I do have to wrestle myself in and out of them. Prompt delivery, packaged well.

Good value … short fingers
I ordered the 2XL. Gloves are great quality for the money and the textured palm & fingers grip fishing spear well. Overall good product. The two areas I had problem with were 1) length of fingers were too short for my hand 2) elastic wrist strap serves little purpose after a couple of dives as it provides little tension and has limited adjustability. Hence my rating of 3 stars. If you have shorter fingers than me & are not concerned about wrist strap feature, you’ll love these gloves.

Three right hand gloves in package, no left hand glove!
First of all, shocker... I only have two hands, not three. Second, I know it's weird but of the two hands do I have, only one is "right", the other is actually "left". Not quite sure who this pack of gloves is meant for, but doesn't work for me. Now what?
