The Silver Palate Cook Book by Julee Rosso (1991-06-30)

I misread the listing and was thinking I was getting a hardcover book. I wouldn't have paid what I did with the condition issue's. The condition is OK at best. The damp smell is bothersome. I would have searched further had I known. The bonus that took away my book condition disappointment was the lovely bookmarks left behind from it's previous owner. It had her name on the front cover. The book was very yellowed, pages stuck together from recipe's she had tried. Food stains on back cover. I found her raspberry vinegar recipe in her handwriting! It was a go to cookbook for me thirty year's ago. I loaned mine to a friend and it was misplaced. This book new is a perfect gift for a couple that loves to cook. Perfect wedding gift! You have menu ideas, all your soups and sauces, breads, desserts. I had to laugh at charcuterie. I forgot just how wonderful this book was and is. I used it at the start of my marriage as a go to resource. A lost banana bread recipe is in this book. I will keep this copy and go back on a search for a brand new hardcover book for my son that has an Anniversary coming. I hope my books are cherished unlike my owner's family did with their Mother's book.

best cookbook ever. iv'e used it for years and buy it for friends. All family members have one :)

Even though published a number of decades ago, I found I learned great basics and revisited some old favorites!

I have used this cookbook for 30 years. Numerous wonderful recipes. My daughter kept asking me for my recipes so I sent her the cookbook instead. A real classic.

Great recipes,easy to follow

This is a replacement copy. It was in poor condition. Very dry. The spine had already broke into several sections.

Very good used condition.
