I love truffles and a recent culinary experience brought good cheese, fresh bread and truffle honey to my table - I was hooked by the combination so ordered a jar for over twenty dollars from an artisan cheese type place which of course also added shipping (which I was okay with as these was some good cheese in that order to) but alas - or so I thought - they ran out of stock and the order was shipped with the honey omitted!With these cheese already on the way I thought I was going to have to seek out some local gourmet shops but as often do - gave Amazon a quick try first and lo and behold come across this - two jars shipped for less than the price of one and reviews were good!The honey is amazing!! You could smell the truffles as soon as I retrieved the box off my doorstep - it was that strong! As I opened the box the smell became more pronounced...I knew this was going to be good stuff!! Also, worth noting - in each jar, you could actually see a small sliver of truffle, about the size of a quarter! Impressive given the price!So the price is good, the smell is good - but what about the taste!! This really is divine! Light, tasty honey with a strong truffle taste! Yum! My favorite way to eat this was drizzled over some Hudson Valley Camembert and some fresh bread! The combination was perfect!So yes this is from Amazon not some little boutique type cooking store and yes, its cheap given the competition...but YES this is worth it!!

The bottle is small...however, I pour a bit of this honey into a tiny dipping dish and use it for dipping cheese. It is very very flavorful and a little goes a long way. If you are entertaining this truffle honey will be a hit with your guests. I use it sparingly and refill the dish as needed so I don't waste it! The price is what it is because anything with truffle is on the pricey side...This particular brand is priced in the middle and it tastes delicious! Great Quality!

This is one of those ingredients that people either love or hate - but most people I have served it to love it. The scent of the truffle in the honey is amazing. It is best served with a nutty hard cheese such as parmesan regianno (this is how it is served in Italy) and a mild cracker or bread.I have tried other brands which are also good and sometimes have more truffle flakes, but in side by side comparisons, I prefer this brand.Try this: Take a plain pizza shell with just a light brush of olive oil and some grated parmesan and a sprinkle of sea salt and bake until crisp and then remove from the oven, drizzle with the truffle honey and serve as a appetizer.

I love this truffle honey and have bought it several times. The last jar that I ordered came with the seal broken and full of ants and amazon said it could not be returned. I

I am on my third jar and have only one piece of advice for others:order the smaller jar for a more concentrated truffle flavor. Both sizes come with a slice of truffle, but the larger jar is not as concentrated.This stuff is SOOOOOOO good! Drizzle it over salami and cheese; I schmear goat cheese on toasted baguette slices and then drizzle them with this honey. Oh, honey, let me tell you-it's delicious!!!

As others have said, this is one of those products that you will either really enjoy or really hate. Most people buying this product have probably already decided that they like truffles, as I do. The truffle flavor here is very in your face, you can indeed smell the truffles before opening the sealed jar. I like the stuff, it will probably be a new staple in my pantry. I cannot keep regular honey in my pantry because I gobble down the whole jar so fast its just not worth keeping around, so IMO this product is perfect for someone who has trouble controlling themselves with regular sugar products, but enjoys a sweet treat here and there. Truffle honey is not something that tastes great eaten by the spoonful, but when eaten in small quantities with some sharp cheese and a few crackers, maybe some grapes or apple slices, its perfect! Quality product, I got a nice sized piece of truffle in my jarUPDATE--I still like the stuff, but I have noticed that as silly as it sounds, the glass on the jar is thicker than average, therefore you think you are getting more honey than you actually are. Ive used this 4 times now, each time just a teensy amount, and the jar is half empty :(

Like I said, I'm still trying to decide if this is worth the money. And I've never had fresh truffles, so I can't speak to their representation in this honey. What I do know is that the honey has an earthy smell and taste that is unique. I bought it to make Blue Cheese Truffle Honey souffle, and it was the best souffle I've ever had. I don't think I'll probably buy truffle honey again, but as far as it goes, this is pretty good.Just a non-product note: I initially received a package that contained one mostly full jar, one empty jar, and a lot of sticky mess. Neither jar was broken, or even open, they had just leaked. Amazon shipped me new ones without question, but it was still slightly inconvenient. This is probably a lot more likely to happen in warmer months.

The honey conveys the amazing truffle taste immaculately, not overwhelming but sweetly subtle and addictive. You can find truffle honey that has a stronger truffle aroma and taste, but I love the way this light truffle honey cleanly isolates the truffle taste. I think honey may be the ideal vehicle for truffles in that it seems to preserve the volatile oils that make truffles so appealing much better than other vehicles. Try this on smoked Parmesan cheese, and you may want to keep this stuff around all the time.
