Bloodborne - Artbook officiel

The reviews (most of em) were spot on. It's a great book and arrived in great shape. Yeah, it's French, but you're not looking at it for the words, you're looking at it for the beautiful art of one of the best games ever made. Plus, you could always just translate the language if you care that much. Hardcover and cheaper than even the JP paperback.... sold!!!

Gift for my son, he really liked it. The only complaint is that it's all in French. I was hoping it also had some English captions like the soft cover Spanish copy. But most are buying this for the artworks and the English version is $200 and I'm not sure that's even a hard cover

Book arrived packaged apropriately hence there was no damage. Good buy.

Everything about the book is perfect and pretty cheap vs $1200 for the English version, very much recommend. The book itself is quite large and beautifully bounded with a thick fake leather finish to the cover and shrink wrapped when delivered along with an additional dust cover but that kind of ruins just how pretty this book is to display. I really can’t gush over this purchase enough, I imagine even if you didn’t know French but played the game then this would still be a no brainer since it’s essentially just footnotes to the immaculate artwork. If you’re a fan of From’s work do yourself a favor a buy this book, you won’t regret it.

Beautiful artwork and it’s in the HARDCOVER that we Bloodborne fans have been wanting. Great art and small bits of lore here and there, in French, but nothing a little Google Translate can’t help with. Enjoy gorgeous Macabre art and learn some French all in one.

The contents of this book are great, they’re the same as the English and Japanese art books, but have a hardcover. There’s very little commentary, so it’s totally fine that it’s in French. The one issue I have with this is the cover; based on the images it’s supposed to have a mark of the hunter design, but it legitimately just looks like smudges of white with absolutely no pattern. Hard to tell if it’s just a printing error, but other reviews show the same cover. The ugly cover is a bummer, but it’s still a hardcover version of the art book, so it’s still worth it over the English version in my opinion.

Honestly, zero regrets. Amazing detailed sketches and concept works from the fromsoft team. I've fallen head over heels for Bloodborne recently. I've been looking for a hardcover for Bloodborne artbook and it seems like this was the only one available and cheaper than the paperback english verison. I'm not sure why the french verison was the only hard cover. I dont mind the French, a lot of blurbs under character art are quotes from the game. It also delivered pretty quickly.

Dato che mi rifiuto di comprare un artbook con copertina flessibile, ho valutato per molto tempo se comprare questo artbook francese, unica versione con copertina rigida esistente. Alla fine ho ceduto, mi son detto "Vive la France", e l'ho acquistato. Ho subito pensato: "Perchè ho aspettato così tanto?!" I contenuti sono assolutamente identici alla versione inglese, e persino il numero di pagine è praticamente lo stesso. Ovviamente i testi sono in lingua francese, ma credo che questo sia l'artbook con il minor numero di parole che io abbia mai visto e non presenta NESSUNA descrizione esclusiva rispetto al gioco, se non i nomi dei vari nemici che nel gioco non vengono esplicitati, ma basterà una rapidissima traduzione con google translate e questo piccolo ostacolo sarà superato. Per quanto riguarda le immagini, punto forte dell'opera ovviamente, diciamo subito che l'editore, Mana Books, è un editore serissimo che pubblica prodotti di altissima qualità senza nulla da invidiare ad altri ben più noti come Future Press, ed infatti la qualità si nota anche in questo prodotto. Le immagini sono perfette e molte presentano l'effetto di aberrazione cromatica che si nota anche in gioco (una sorta di asincronia dei colori sui margini delle immagini), ma questo ovviamente è un effetto voluto che contribuisce a dare quell'atmosfera onirica che tanto caratterizza Bloodborne. Gli sketch sono bellissimi e molto interessanti, così come lo sono i dettagli dei personaggi, delle armi e dei mostri. Se proprio dovessi trovare un difetto, direi che l'artbook è veramente molto scuro, con una prevalenza del nero quasi soverchiante, ma d'altra parte Bloodborne non poteva essere altrimenti. In ultima analisi, un artbook eccezionale per gli appassionati di Bloodborne: non cedete alle altre versioni in copertina flessibile, ben più costose senza alcun motivo, e concedetevi invece questa stupenda versione in copertina rigida senza temere la lingua francese.
