Dear Midnight

One of my favorite poetry books ever -his creativity is INGENIOUS! I write poetry and although I have no art and lettering skills - I add creativity w/ crafting to my poetry, art, gratitude, bullet, vision board, and prayer journals so this book particularly resonated w/me on a deep level. I love the way the author divided book into 3 parts: Sunrise, Sunset, Midnight. Very clever. I am rather persnickety and not easily impressed. Zach Grey is my newest muse for poetry. I’m in love with the aesthetic combination of ‘midnight’ and a relationship! I love the idea of night—though I also love day—so the title already had me eager to read Dear Midnight. I wasn’t, however, expecting what kind of poems I would find in this book... But I definitely wasn’t disappointed! In fact, this has quickly become one of my favorite poetry books! Everything about Dear Midnight’s aesthetic, content, and visual style makes me so happy! The amount of raw emotion in each poem had me “Awe”-ing through the whole book—the good and the bad kind. It was a beautiful (yet a bit tragic) rollercoaster that I will be reading again! Just a final ‘fact’, I found out about this book through his Instagram account!

I have been a fan of poetry books such as Milk and Honey and The Sun and Her Flowers and others for quite some time now. Dear Midnight is another that has been added to my list of favorites. I read the entire thing in one night and have re-read it many times since. Each word is not only relateable to both guys and girls, but also authentic. While reading this book, I felt all the emotions- sadness, longing, anger, emptiness, acceptance, and closure. Never have I ever read a book that does this so seamlessly. It takes a true artist to ignite that much feeling in just one sitting. Zach - you are incredible and awe inspiring. Keep it up. Side note: the book has three parts: Sunrise, Sunset, and Midnight and the pages in each part goes from white, to grey, to black. And I aboslutely love that feature.

This was a creative and beautiful set of poetry. It really captured the emotions of love, heartbreak, and the process of moving forward. It was a quick but enjoyable read.

The package came clean and quick and the book was amazing Is incredibly relatable n its just perfect grey did an amazing job in the book I 10/10 recommended. It is depressing...it does make u think ab the past and stuff but the way he personifies things is perfect. And rhymes sound really good I read the book 3 times and this is my first day of having it. It is made out of paper I would much rather have a hard cover but it wasnt possible but that's fine I did cry while reading it

Omg! This book is such an easy read. I didn’t want to put it down. In fact I didn’t! I read the whole book in one sitting, it was just that captivating. I loved the creativity with the variation of colors depicting the time and mood of the day. White/gray/then black. It gave the book a little something extra. The poems were very well written and beautiful. They really gave a glimpse of this author’s beautiful and pure heart. I would recommend this book to adults as well as teen readers.

Dear Midnight is for those hopeless romantics out there. If the push and pull of falling in love is something you yearn to read about I suggest reading this poetry collection. There is a lot of strong poems that are relatable and full of emotion. Though sometimes the poems feel incomplete, I enjoyed reading this collection. So go ahead and check out Dear Midnight.

It's as if Zack took a poetic knife and dissected memories of my own heart, relaying messages, hidden turmoils and questions that I feel so deep to my core. Almost every poem contains a message of which I have whispered to myself in one way or another. Even for those who may not relate personally to the stories held within, the beautiful and deep composition can still trigger the mind, and create an exploratative like experience in which the reader might find themselves pondering the depths (and lovely highs and lows) of love. The soul is an interesting thing, love is an interesting thing, and this book artistically documents part of that.

A nice book to carry on while for light traveling

Beautiful, emotional words, really felt it. A fantastic read! One I'll definitely go back to read time and time again
