Not fully waterproof
I have owned this coat for 2 years and today was the first day that I tested out just how waterproof it is - I had forgotten my umbrella in a downpour.Needless to say, the coat definitely did NOT hold up as expected - my shoulders and arms were completely damp after 3-5mins.This was while wearing it without the liner.I have been happy with this coat otherwise, and have to admit that I certainly was not expecting it to perform so poorly.Very disappointed.

an impeccably crafted steal -- runs big and warm
This is just a superbly crafted overcoat. Impeccable workmanship throughout, excellent fabric (wind-/water-proof, stain resistant, fine as silk to the touch), fine fabric inside with button-in liner, and elegant lines. I can't believe the price!Don't make the mistake I did -- it's not Amazon Prime -- but get the sizing right. In EU suits, I wear a 40S; in US suits, 38R. Although made in China, this coat is of Italian design. So I thought a 40S would do. Not so: it was like a tent (I'm 5' 9" / 150 lbs). So I paid UPS to expedite it back -- no free returns -- and ordered the 38R. Even it is slightly over-sized but not unfashionably. The coat runs on the large size.It also runs warm, as another commenter has noted. He had it in Japan. I'll have it -- without liner -- in subtropical climates (rainy season, very windy) for a while -- it'll be low 50s F at night and, without the liner, this coat will be just right for me in terms of warmth. But during the day, in the low 70s with seasonal torrents, I'd be broiling. With the liner in, I could brave a Chicago winter, I'm confident. For the workmanship, style and sure durability of this coat it's a steal at this price!

Nice quality
I usually wear a 40 jacket but the size 38 coat was right for me; I ordered both and am returning the 40. It seems well made, and I'm happy it goes below my knees since I sometimes take a walk in the rain and this should keep my pants pretty dry (I'm relying on this being waterproof as advertised). Pass-through pockets would be an extra I'd appreciate, so I can reach into my pants pocket for my keys more easily, and reflective bands for walking at night. Overall, I'm very pleased with the coat and consider it a very good value, though I haven't tested the waterproofing yet.

Adam Baker (Cellini) Single Breasted Rain Coat
These rain coats are well made of high quality materials. Warm, nicely tailored, well sewn, rain repellent and come with a removable liner and removable belt. I ordered one size larger than my suit size and the fit is perfect. Sensibly priced. A winner!

Plenty of room for sport coat
This coat is made of high quality material and workmanship. My husband is 6'4" tall, 200 lbs with 36-37" sleeves. He wears a 42L sport coat. I ordered a 42L and it is plenty roomy with his sport coat on. The arms are plenty long. The coat is not fitted at the waist so there is extra room through the mid section.

Now he is very happy.
My husband is fussy about clothes. This is probably the first time I've purchased an article of clothing for him that he actually likes. In fact, he likes it very much. We did have to size up, however. According to the chart, the 42R should have fit...but it was too tight on top of his sports coat, so I returned it and bought the 44R. Now he is very happy.

Suitable for vegans - Nice looking but lower quality construction.
This is a lighter, lined 100% cotton / synthetic / microfiber (?) trenchcoat. It has a matte black finish and is OK for some colder weather but I wear a fleece vest over my suit coat as well in the Chicago cold. I’m 6’5” and have plenty of room to fit the extra bulk of my suit coat, fleece, etc. It’s a nice looking, smooth jacket overall. Unfortunately a button already came off within the first week of ownership. Quality is OK - obviously not great - but that’s expected at this price point. No animal products that I can tell on the jacket so it’s suitable for vegans - which can be a hard find for dress jackets.

Great quality
Great quality. Fits exactly as expected. I am 6'2" tall, with a 40" waist. I purchased the 46L size of this coat. It leaves enough room to wear a warm jacket underneath, and the sleeves are more than long enough for someone who wears shirt sizes with 36-38 inch sleeve lengths. The bottom of the coat is about 6-8" below my knees.I purchased this coat for a vacation to NYC. I live in Florida. The removable liner will come in handy during the rainy season in Florida.
