I like that my dog loves this dog food. It is also one of the few that has organ meat in it which is good for dogs. Dave's beef and liver is great and I recommend it to dog owners

I've ordered this before and everything was fine. But this time, 4 of the cans out the dozen in my shipment were deeply dented and had to be discarded as they're unsafe to feed to my dog. I'm a fan of Dave's brand, but cannot recommend purchasing it on Amazon. This item is not returnable, and it is challenging to navigate the labyrinthine path to report the problem on this site. I was annoyed enough to take the time to do that, and Amazon did the right thing to settle the problem. Bottom line is Dave's is a reliable and excellent product, so if you can't find it locally, order it here and cross your finger. You and your dog will probably be very happy.

I would stick with Dave’s our pets love the food and seem to have less health issues

I buy this brand at the store. Haven't had a problem there.Its a little pricey at the store, so i found a better price on Amazon.I bought a case of it. The cans show up, the expiration is two years away... so far so good.I open a can to feed the dog, and it smells different and its a little runny. The smell- its different than the stuff i bought at the store, but not awful or anything, just different.Against my better judgement, i fed it to my German Shepard.Next morning i woke up to an EXPLOSIVE mess of dog barf and diarrhea.My dog is a master of vomiting on exactly what she shouldn't. Its her super power.AVOID from buying online!

Our dog loves the food however....a can opener is required which is is PAIN
