Gets the job done
I first tried seeing how well the tubing came out of the cap. That was right, but putting it back in was a pain. The rubber plug that seals the cap is a tight fit for the tube, but easily pops inside the cap when reinserting the tube. I used a pair of pliers to keep the plug in place as I reinserted the tube. A minor inconvenience, but manageable.The hose cover is a super thin and loose cloth with a bit of rough cut rubber at each end to sort of hold it in place. It's not much, but it covers the hose if you dont want to see the tube.The hose itself is pretty stiff tubing. Its flexible, but not overly so.The bite valve has a flow regulator that is basically just a push/pull system. Not great, but it functions. The bite value itself is alright. Nothing special and as shown, doesn't have a bend.I tested this product out by pulling the hose out, reinserting the hose, filling a 2qt collapsible canteen and using the hose and bite valve. I tried flipping the canteen and squeezing as hard as possible and fiddled with the flow switch.Not sure what the 1 star reviewer meant, but I had no leakage unless the flow regulator was open. Overall, it's a handy kit for a canteen and gets the job done. Though personally I'll just convert my M1 caps and use food grade tubing in the future with brand name valves.

Leaky and annoying
They work, but the connection where the straw goes through the cap is terrible, it leaks, a lot. The rubber gasket also pops out if you try to adjust the straw and is a MF to get back in.

Get what you paid for.
I will say this does what you want it to however it does leak so if your ruck falls over you are going to lose the water in your canteen. But it was a good buy overall.

Excellent hydration solution
Good product for a weird problem but no issues with install or performance in any way my only complaint is that the tube cover is free floating so will occasionally expose the bottom of the tube but has very little noticeable impact
