I bought these not for privacy, but to deflect some wind and hopefully help keep rain from coming in from the sides on my covered deck. These seem to be well made. They came with wire ties but I used screws with fender washers.The company is outstanding to deal with. They are very responsive and I ordered a special length from them for one section.Some people complain that they show through too much. Even though I didn’t buy them for privacy when you look from the inside out you can see lots through them. However when looking from outside into them they don’t seem to be see through.It really depends on which side the light is on, like a window at night with the lights on inside...same effect.Update: Now after a year being up they still are holding up great!

I have an apartment with a railed balcony. Many other residents here use that bamboo stuff to give them more privacy, but I didn’t like the look of it nor that it always looked like it had been through a hurricane after withstanding only normal weather. Anyway I found this and love it! Just what I needed/wanted, perfect size, good price, and took all of 5 minutes to put up with some zip ties.

This screen provides excellent privacy and looks great as well. I bought it for a guest bedroom balcony. I really like that it’s not completely closed off so you can still see through it but the person on the opposite side does not see you. I was worried that it would be an issue with windy days, but it is sturdy! We’ve had plenty of windy days and the screen does not move. It’s also very easy to install! Took less than five minutes. I really love these screens. I was looking for something like this for a long time and have loved these after installing them. They work great. You can still see through them a bit but it’s perfect for a little privacy. You still get the wind passing through it which is nice compared to a normal tarp.A couple of neighbors have asked where I got these and I’ve referred them to this page. Great product and would definitely recommend!

I had what may be the trickiest install challenge for this screen! 1) I wanted on the *outside* the railing, so I could see the wood. 2) The deck is on the second floor of our house, about 16ft off the ground, so I had to install it by carefully leaning over the railing with push pins (ain't gonna do these acrobatics with a hammer in hand). 3) THEN I had to redo the whole thing once we got the umbrella, because that also had to be installed from the outside of the railing (that's why that one section come around to the front of the wood). Ha! But I did it and it looks awesome, right? I'm really happy with this. Of course, while I was taking pics for this review, I DID realize that our neighbors (4 feet away) can see through the privacy mesh with the late-afternoon sun shining through it. Right. Duly noted. :)

I share a fence with a neighbor who has a really ugly yard. The fence is also really ugly - it's falling apart! We have tried to talk to the landlord about replacing the fence and splitting the cost, but he hasn't been responsive, so we decided to take action on our own.I fixed up the fence as best I could using zip ties, bolt cutters, and a shovel. Then I attached this privacy screen to the fence. It looks so much better! We no longer have to look into their yucky yard, and it covers the ugly fence, too. Great product!

The media could not be loaded.  I originally had bamboo fencing. My HOA said not approved take it down.I couldn't find a pre-made shade in the exact size so I got something larger. Figured Im pretty handy and could make it work. I zip tied the bottom first to the railing. Then temporarily used some zip ties on the top rail to hold it in place. Then I rolled the part that was too long - and hung over the top edge - the width of the hem until it was snug up under the back of the rail. I used pieces of wire that I ran thru the fabric and around each metal post and secured. I also had to fold under the side and secured in the same way with wire.This is a great product and made really well. I would recommend this to anyone who needs some privacy or shade. I actually like it better than the bamboo. Its more private but still lets some light in for my plants. Now I want a roller shade for the top to match!

I bought this in hopes it would help my would get my dogs to stop barking at our neighbors. We have a two story home and our deck is on the second story, our dogs could see right into the neighbors backyard and would start to bark immediately if they saw them. These screens have completely stopped all barking from the deck! The dogs can't see through and have no idea the neighbors are there!

This was the second one I bought, because the first one, shown in the photos, worked very well to shield me from neighbors who walk by. I could not use the zip straps because the posts on my balcony are too wide, so I used about a dozen a small nails. It holds up well to wind and rain, is slightly translucent so light does get in, and the company gave great and fast service. It’s a good quality product. The only downside is, I realized after I put up the first one and bought the second, it will shield from sun as well. In our crappy northern climate, sometimes the only son I get is on my balcony. I left open one end and I didn’t put the second one up because otherwise I will miss sun unless it’s directly overhead. I love the privacy, though! I can do yoga and exercise and lie on my balcony free from stupid prying eyes. Leaving one end open, it’s amazing how many people still try to look as they walk by.

Seems like good quality and holding up thus far after a couple weeks. Really wasn’t happy with the colour but decided to keep it anyway. You can just barely see through it, which is fine with me.

Excellent pour garder son privé sur la terrasse. On voit légèrement à travers mais c'est correct, ça fait le travail et le prix est correct. Matériaux solide.

Privacy screen colour matches the siding on our complex so was hard to tell I'd made a change to my balcony. This product weathers well. Semi-private material.
