Great shocks for the money
I don't think I've ever written a review on Amazon, but thought these shocks deserve a review. As far as value for the money, these shocks are great. Put them on my son's slash, and we took it out bashing, with mostly only jumps, and not a single issue.I did dock one star from the review because the springs are kind of too soft for my liking. However, that issue can be remedied, by turning the screw on the shock to make the shock stiffer (I did 50 turns on all 4). No issues with installation. Saw a few reviews here of people complaining of shock binding or touching the body. Anybody that has worked on RC's before will know how to "properly" install them. Most of the complaints here, I take it, are of people that are not good at working on their cars.To install properly, do this following:1. To unscrew the top of the shock, hold the body of the shock firm (when it's disassembled, and use a small screw driver to put in the hole of the top cap of the shock, and simply twist (don't try to open with a plier, otherwise, your going to damage the paint / aluminum cap)2. Fill the shock half way, and move the piston up and down a bit to lubricate the internals. Make sure no bubbles. Then proceed to filling it all the way to the top. Shocks must be filled to the top, otherwise, when you have an impact, you risk the shaft getting bent. When fill to the top, the oil will create good enough resistance to protect the shaft.3. Screw cap back on (rubber bladder, in most cases will be stuck to the top of the cap. It's fine. just screw it back on.4. Install shocks, and make sure you use the included spacers to make sure the shock does not touch the body (because they are a lot bigger then stock). On my son's slash, I did not need to use spacers for the bottom front, because the fit is already snug. But I used the spacers for the top 2 front shocks, and and for all rear shocks (son has a 2wd slash)Hope this helps somebody.

Good but not great
This is definitely a "you get what you pay for" product. The springs are too soft to support my Rustler on level ground. No info about the springs, but I am ordering stiffer ones. I haven't had any leaks or issues with them, but when these break I'll buy a better quality shock.

Can take a beating for $50
I put these shocks on my slash 2wd and in my opinion these are some really good shocks. After I got these shocks and few other parts I installed them and went to the track and put them through a BEATING. There’s a pretty big triple out there and I was hitting it all day and nothing happened, even took a couple hard hits straight to the front from casing it. Defiantly use all the hardware and spacers that’s come with it, and make sure you are putting in thick enough shock oil cause these are pretty beefy shocks, a little bigger than I was expecting. My local hobby store also had never heard of this brand before, so I took a gamble and they perform better than I expected.

Durable and affordable shocks
These shocks were put on a stampede 4x4 vxl. They hold a large volume of oil and are more durable than the stock shocks. The shock springs included can be adjusted but seemed a bit too weak to hold the body up at the correct height without compressing the springs a great amount. Replacement springs with different weights are available but slightly difficult to find. I would buy these shocks again.

didn't work for me

Heavy duty
These shocks are the real deal. I put on my slash 4x4 brushless and beat it up. No issues after a month. Previous shocks bent within a week and broke shortly there after. I will definitely buy these for my other trucks!

Super fast shipping!
It arrived about a week early! And they seam like great shocks so far, and they look awesome! But I did have a problem with the bottom of the rear shock, it popped off while i was bashing it pretty hard. But I think i had it backwards and I turned it around and works perfect now.

Broke the second time driving.
Installed these on my slash 4x4. Second time driving hit a bump and a shaft broke. They look cool, that’s about it. If you’re just wanting something that looks cool I recommend. If you want something that will last I’d spend the money on something better.
