Worked great
I had never swapped a compressor clutch before but I ordered this one and a clutch removal wrench and had it swapped out in short order. Worked perfectly for the rest of the time I had that truck

Not seller's fault. Honda didn't make it easy.
Perfect fit on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Was easy to troubleshoot and recognize that the clutch wasn't engaging. Then a quick continuity check indicated my coil was open. This was a lot cheaper than buying an entirely new compressor, removing and replacing refrigerant. The only big problem with installation is a outer retaining ring that's just near impossible to do without unbolting compressor. There's right angle tools (available on Amazon) that would have made the job easier. Anyway, after fighting it for a while, I unbolted the compressor from the block and there was just enough movement with the lines still connected to get the retaining ring put back into place. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO GAP YOUR CLUTCH PLATE. Mine took the couple of shims that came in this package AND one from the original installation.

The rubber in the item doesn't hold up. Failed in about a year from when I received the item.
Purchased this item just about a year ago by warranty. the front hub rubber gave out and after sending notice to seller and was given an option to refund or replaced seller changes his mind and says warranty is from purchase date not received date and changes his mind even though it had not been a year from the date I received the item not including when the item went out and having to get it diagnosed to see the problem which took a couple of days, but still less than a year from when I received it, will not warranty and will not communicate with me. Also noticed another person had the same issue with the rubber in the face plate breaking. It sounds like it might be a deflective rubber being used. when you contact the seller you get a notice "We are out of office now. Your message(s) will be replied in 24 hours since too much messages need to be replied. We appreciate your understanding and wait with your patience before our solutions or replied." They did get back the first time and said," we willing resend it or give refund, which one is okay?" I picked to a new one. I never heard back from them for 26 days. During this time I sent to messages to find out the status when I would receive the item and then I get "Sorry we couldn't send you a replacement for free since your order has expired the warranty. But we could offer you some discount if you need a new item.", which from the date I received the item and the date I sent the notice to them letting them know what happened even though it took a couple days to find out it was the part not the compressor, it was less than a year. After replying back to them about this I have not receive any info from them. this has been 26days know. After reading other reviews and another person having same issue after I had purchase it, I am not happy with the part or customer service. I didn't want my money back only a replacement.

Working great so far, hope it lasts more than the previous one.
Works great so far. Needed 4 washers for spacers (I only got two but reused some old ones). My old one lasted 3 years (different no-name amazon brand), and the rubber segment separated in the clutch plate. That means that you cannot remove the bolt without an impact wrench (no way to hold the plate), and in the MDX you can't get to the bolt without removing the compressor. I wound up drilling across both sections of the pressure plate and putting a wood screw in to hold them together for loosening. Should have just unbolted the compressor and used impact... Will update if/when it fails. Bought this item over others because it had the oldest reviews (my previous item is gone from Amazon)

Works as Expected
Replacement for a broken magnetic A/C clutch. Not an easy job, but totally doable for the home DIYer. I suggest buying a long pronged snap ring tool. I cannot vouch for the longevity. I'll check back if there are any problems.

Cheap quality part
After a bit of trouble shooting I narrowed it down to this part since replacing the entire compressor would’ve been very costly. Took me a good part of the day to replace it but totally worth it saving about $1,000 to have a shop service it. Ac blows cold now and it should outlast the life of the car.

Fixed Honda Odyssey no AC. Beats the $1400 quote to replace entire system!
Don’t replace your Honda AC compressor until you’ve tested the clutch!! Don’t take your mechanic’s word for it that “the compressor is shot and needs replacement” and “you have to replace the compressor if the clutch has failed.” A $1400 repair became a $75ish repair. This is 3 out of 5 wrenches in difficulty for the above average DIY mechanic. Took me several hours after reading on the Honda Odyssey forums. Basically, once you’ve pulled the wheel off and propped the vehicle up safely, unbolt the compressor and tilt it down. Remove the old pulley and clutch assembly (carefully...follow the recommendations from the forum folks), install and adjust the air gap on this one and viola! The C clips will give you the most hassle. Take it slow, don’t force it. In my case, it was worth a gamble to me to try replacing the clutch before replacing half the system.

Poor packaging
I am not sure if I got a defective item(returned item) or, it broke during the shipping(poor packaging),the electric connector on the magnet was broken, had to plastic weld it back. Working OK so far.
