Taurine for Dogs, Support for a Healthy Heart Function, Resist Inflammatory Diseases, with Coenzyme Q10 to Help Manage Heart Failure and DCM in Dogs, 120 Chewable Tablets

With all this talk and new studies being issue on DCM in dogs although mine were home cooked for after having kibble for years and made it to 13 as a Saint Bernard and 15 as a Sherpherd, I decided to be extra cautious with my new guy whose now 10 months old. As he's on Taste of the Wild, he falls into that grain-free category and after much reading I found that Taurine, especially in higher doses added to the diet is one of the strongest moves you can make to guard against DCM. So while I'm researching the best diet possible for my guy, I ordered these and started him on them. Mixed with kibble and a little bone broth, he has absolutely no problems whatsoever scoffing them down and I have peace of mind knowing I'm doing something proactive while I continue to read medical papers. BTW, I spent over 3 hours going through choices for Taurine and this one by far had the best therapeutic amount contained of all the ones I found.

So I use grain free dog food and with some breeds of dogs, this food can cause heart problems. My pup loves his food so I started doing more research and determined that the common cause of the heart issues is the lack of taurine in the grain free food. With that said, I went online to find a taurine supplement for my dog and was relieved to find several. This is really high quality stuff and CoQ10 is insanely good for heart health. My dog loves this supplement and I find assurance in his health simply by taking 1 chew tab a day. For larger breeds, you’ll need to up the number of chew tabs but for 25 and under, one chew tab a day is fine.

This supplement for my dog with dilated cardiomyopthy is easy to give to her. I do coat it in a little cream cheese to get her to take it, but the tablets are chewable and flavored. My sole complaint is that the some of the tablets come broken in the bottle; the bottle is large and despite the bit of cotton in the new bottles, there isn't enough to prevent the contents from banging around in there in transit. the broken tablets make it challenging to be consistent in dosage.

I’m happy with the merchant, the product was delivered as promised. This is the second time I’ve ordered the supplement, but it’s too early to tell if it’s making a difference. The good news is that when I break the pills and mix them in the food, my dog doesn’t even notice.

I just started on this product for my as a supplement to her meds per Vet request. Our dog has a heart condition and highly recommended by vet. It is to help the inflammation and Heart function. So far we see a difference in her energy. she is starting to feel herself.

I have been purchasing these pills for a couple of years with no problems. This last bottle has been disintegrating into a powder and making a mess. Did I get a bad batch?

Since we put our 2 Cockers on Taurine (one of them has a heart problem) they have increased in activity and seem much more happy and are acting years younger! I got on the scheduled shipment and it works great.
