Nice, but hard to keep level
difficult to install so they don't move. The screw goes into a curved slot and I can't seem to tighten enough to prevent weight shifting. Don't like that each rod tends to tilt a little from the weight of the curtain. FYI, our curtains are not very heavy

Well made and does what it's supposed to
First the bad: The screw heads strip out easily so you might want to get sturdy or screws. Mine had to go into wood. The rod itself, once installed, does droop a bit although the second one in the package did not. I may put a washer in to tighten the droopy one. Other than that, these are well made, easy to install and they are lovely. They swing easily and are exactly what I needed for shade curtains on my door, which gets too much summer sun.

Great for French Doors!
I installed these on French doors for a Bedroom/Office. They worked really well and do seem strong enough for decent curtains. Overall I am very satisfied. I also like the swing feature to open them up for more light.Instructions are pretty basic, as there are many ways you could install these. Here are some recommendations based on my method of install.1st. - Have the curtains you are going to use prior to installing. 2nd - When installing the hinges, if your door swings all the way open consider where your door trim is and where the curtain hinge bracket will be when the door is opened all the way. I spaced mine in far enough so that the curtain bracket and door trim do not come in contact when the door is fully opened. I did this because our doors will open all the way against the wall.3rd - Install top rod/bracket on door first and put on curtain. Next put rod in curtain on the bottom. If you will be gathering curtain in the middle for that "gathered look", then you will want to gather the curtain fabric now, and then determine mounting location for bottom rod/bracket. If you mount the bracket without the curtain gathered, you may find that by gathering the curtain their is not enough slack, and the curtain will pull more on the rods.

Works for me
It was what I needed. Although I can see where a lot or reviews did not like it. It is more suited to light sheers than actual drapes really. If it was made of heavier gauge material it would take care of that problem. But the concept is great.

Sturdy!
I used these curtain hangers to cover a full-length door mirror in my daughter's bedroom. They cover the mirror at night, and she can extend the curtains in the morning to create her own little "dressing room." They are supporting full fabric curtains...the heavy ones, and I have not seen any bowing. They've been up for about a month, and all is well. Very pleased with this purchase!

Screw placement makes all the difference
I love the look and functionality. What I didn't love was the size of the slot for the screw. It is too wide, which means the screw is more of a pivot point than an anchor for the swing arm. The result is that the swing arm sinks when the screw slides in the slot. Had I known this in advance I could've put the screw in the FAR INTERIOR (arm-side) position of the slot so the weight of the curtain rod and curtain can't make the arm sink any lower. But I didn't know this and now my curtain and curtain rod sink and I am unable to add another screw because I installed on a bookshelf rather than a wall.Tip: when you install, imagine the weight of the fabric and arm are going to pull the arm down and place your screw in the slot accordingly.

Versailles Swing arm curtain rod set
I accidentally came upon swing arm curtain rods while searching for rod ideas for our inside French door. In our case, we needed to be able to introduce light in the daytime, but have some privacy at night. I love these rods. They were easy to install and perform exactly as expected. I combined them with a white voile curtain and the results are fantastic! I will mention that they do rattle a bit due to the frequency of use for that door but that was easily solved with a set of Command damage-free hangers. We love em! If we want more light, we simply open them and voila, more light! The color is great. We couldn't be more pleased. Give them a try!
