My 7 year old LG fridge stopped dispensing water or making ice. Upon googling, I was pretty sure it was the inlet valve. So I had to decide if I was to get the $100 genuine LG part or this one for a fraction of the price. I decided to give this one a try, and I am happy that I did! It was an easy fix, and it's working flawlessly. Highly recommended.

Easy to replace. Hardest part is moving the fridge out.

An appliance repair company came out and diagnosed my non water dispensing and ice making LG refrigerator to have a bad pump. The LG replacement part was on backorder and would have cost $250 to have installed. I ordered this one for $38 and installed myself, it works perfectly.Note, my icemaker didn't start producing ice again until the next morning, but that is pretty common per my uncle who owns an appliance repair business in another area.

When the water dispenser on my fridge (model LFXS26596S /00) started to just trickle water out and make half ice cubes and then no cubes at all after just 2 years of purchase, I tried to find out some of the reasons for the issue. I had a hard time finding what parts my machine had for a water inlet valve and if that was the reason for the issue. I tried numerous youtube videos and learned some various things to check, but those did not work. I then tried ordering this part first to see if this could be the issue and for $27 and free returns if not, I was willing to give it a try. I switched this out and removed the filter (I had installed a reverse osmosis water filtration system so I didn't need it. This model does not require a filter bypass in order to work, you just simply remove the filter). I can't say whether this will fix your problem, but it did mine.

Couldn't find my unit in the description, but took a chance and glad I did. Perfect fix except that I had to swap the attachment bracket with the one from the unit I removed (which fit perfectly in place). Once I did that everything was great, and saved me over 1/2 off the appliance part sellers. I thought this was a generic version, but the box it came in said "Genuine OEM Part" so maybe it's authentic, either way it works beautifully, so thanks for saving me a bucket of money.

This was an easy item to get to for replacement, but ended up returning this item as it was incorrect for my refrigerator.

This part worked perfectly for my LG LMX25986ST refrigerator. The original part developed a leak at the plastic housing below the water inlet and was replaced with this part.It was a very reasonable price and very easy to install. The replacement took about 15 minutes.
