Just received 2 of these today and they are marvelous. Very easy to install and they look sophisticated and simple. I got the Espresso colored ones and they look quite nice in an apt. with very white walls...all of them are white (it's nice to have something to break that up). As I mentioned, I bought two but they can't be placed as mirrored image (one of the answers mentioned they could). I have one placed vertically and one place horizontally and I think it looks rather nice (see photo). I just don't actually own any knick-knacks, but that will be easily remedied (thanks!!! amazon.com). I posted a photo, they may be a bit crooked but that just adds to their charm. That isn't a product issue I may have gone a bit cross-eyed while hitting in those nails, I getting a bit careless in my old age.

Probably the easiest piece of "furniture" I've assembled for my new apartment! The boxes are prebuilt, you just have to insert them into one another. Since I am renting, I was wanting to try a bunch of heavy duty command strips/hooks but upon feeling the weight of the shelves I decided against it as I didn't want to chance it falling. I did, however, install sawtooth frame hooks on the back so that I could use smaller nails to hang it instead of using the bigger screws it came with. Worked out perfectly with little hole damage to my bathroom wall if/when removed.I bought the espresso color, which I think is a little lighter with the brushstrokes than my other espresso colored furniture, but not a huge difference.Lastly, just a side note: the back of the shelves is unfinished, so while you can rotate them to hang horizontally or vertically, you cannot flip it to have 2 sets of these shelves mirrored to one another.Overall, happy with my purchase so far! Hopefully they last a while as I saw other reviewers comment that it broke after a few months...

OK. So I fell asleep with my Amazon app left open on my ipad and my little 10 lb dog must have walked across the ipad and did a "buy with 1 click" for this item because I was pretty surprised the following day to receive an email thanking me for this purchase. With my prime, I had it before I could even tell the dog that I had no use for it. Anyway, it's a pretty cute little shelf and I ended up hanging it in my bathroom to display my small bronze frogs. It was easy to install (although the drywall screws were cheezy and I ended up using some that I had leftover from another project) and the dog seems content with it. So if any of you have dogs looking for a decorative shelf, this may be the one for you.

I needed a shelf to fill the empty wall behind our huge couch. I should have found a bigger shelf but, the overall form of these shelves and the espresso color option matched my other dark furniture, so I decided to purchase this.When I received it, I noticed this is not an item without it flaws, despite the overall rating.Negatives:-The top left "box" does not sit perfectly level with the other two "boxes." Perhaps this is a defect with the one I received, but thankfully it's not too noticeable once the shelves are filled.-The white drywall screw anchors are low quality. One almost split during installation, and the other absorbed the screw at the head. I've used these before in another product, so I could tell the quality of these could have been much better.-The instructions were cluttered and messy. Honestly, one shouldn't need too much in the way of instructions for setting this little shelf up, but it did come with them. I did not need them, but maybe if someone did, they would also find them messy.Positives:-Color is great.-Easy to install.-Hangs securely.-The packaging it came with was more then I expected! Very safe.Overall, it looks the way I imagined when I had it all set up. I like this shelf very much and hope it lasts a long time.Just wish it came in a bigger size!

I woke up this morning with all of my small toys scattered all over the floor and the shelves in pieces (after being installed for almost 2 months). I installed these correctly, but the cheap fake wood gave out under the load of small toys lol. I'm pretty dissatisfied, but don't feel like I would buy this again to replace it. It's possible that I just had a defective unit, but not sure.

It's very sturdy and easy to assemble, however, the mounting gear is terrible. It came with very sturdy screws and wall anchors, however, after properly measuring out the position of the screws (using the provided strip of paper that shows you how far apart to put the screws depending on which way you want to mount the shelves) they wouldn't actually fit into the mounts on the shelves themselves. I had to go without the anchors and just rest the shelves on bare screws. Luckily, I'm not putting anything too heavy on these shelves and my wall paint is dark enough to where you can't see the screws. :\

These are very nice shelves, they seem to look good almost anywhere. My favorite part was how little work is required to put them up. If you can do a 3-peice puzzle, you can handle these. They are pre-made, you just slip them together and then find a place for them. I think they are nice for many things. I am using them for collectables since some of them can fit into the small cubes. I would not recommend over-loading them with too many heavy items, it's not really meant to be a bookshelf, but with a moderate weight, they are very sturdy.

It is beautiful when it's installed. Exactly what I wanted for my bathroom. I have an expresso floating double vanity and I put this above the toilet and it matches exactly. I would suggest you make sure the template that you put on the wall matches the distance for the screws on the back of your unit once it is put together. As I amazingly had studs where the screws were to go, I use nails instead of the screws provided and it is very secure on the wall. You'll love it!!
