I love this album--it's an old favorite. Sounds as good on CD as it did on LP. I've played it for Americans who have never been in the Middle East and yet they enjoyed it. I recently saw a website complaining about the Western instruments, but I lived in the Middle East when this album was popular there, and I've also seen You-Tube posts from Middle Easterners delighted to hear this music again. Yes, the tunes on this album are played on Western instruments, but the melodies and rhythms are authentic Middle Eastern and the musical melding of two cultures is pure fun!
