Rubie's Costume 60's Revolution Blonde Flip Bob Wig, Yellow, One Size

Bought this wig for a Halloween costume (See Freddie Mercury in the video for "I Want To Break Free"). It worked out well enough for a one night costume. The wig has a heavy foam base which gives it the big-hair look you see in the pictures. Unfortunately, the hair strands are kind of sparse and if you don't get it brushed out just right, the foam shows through. The foam also gets really warm after a while so beware. Obviously at this price range the hair itself is synthetic and not very easy to manage, certainly nothing like real hair. For what I needed it for it worked, but if you plan to wear it more than once or twice, you might want to get a better quality model.

I was very disappointed when I received the wig. It came out of the package looking like a bird's nest. The very top layer (a very thin layer) was glossy and smooth, but it didn't conceal the tangled mess below it.I spent a couple of hours with it using a fine toothed comb, gently trying to work out kinks and knots, but couldn't loosen the knots and kinks, and what I was able to comb either fell out, or extended below the top layer in a tangled, frizzed and matted layer. The picture also doesn't accurately display the color, which is a very brassy, plastic-like yellow, not blonde.Additionally, the cap inside is sized for a child, so that the bangs sit very, very high on the forehead. In the end, I ended up teasing my own hair for the costume, and throwing away the wig. Very, very disappointing - opened wigs cannot be returned so I really had no other option. I even considered putting it in the kids' dress-up bin, but the packaging says it's not for use for children under 6.I'm typically very pleased with my purchases on Amazon; I trust Amazon's merchandise to generally be of good quality and always read the reviews prior to making a purchase. Based on this purchse, I am unlikely to ever buy a wig online again.

It wasn't what I wanted and it was not even close to the picture but keep it in perspective- it was only $9 and that is what you get! It did not look like a 60 flip. More like a "had a 60s flip, partied all night hard, got caught in the rain, drove a convertible and slept in it"!

For only needing it for Halloween it wasn't bad it got a little tangled up and didn't look to bad. The only problem was the way it was put together with a lot of foam and hair to cover the foam, a couple times you could see the foam through the hair it didn't sit comfortably on my head. It kept sliding back on my head and I ended up trying my best to secure it in place with bobby pins. If you are looking for something inexpensive that you aren't wearing for long periods of times then this should be sufficient

The flip is glued in place. I tried to show all the exposed glue in the photos. It's not great that the glue is showing like that, but it could probably be cut out CAREFULLY if the style is already EXACTLY how you want it to be. Because it's glued in place, you can't style this wig AT ALL. Which I would need to do, so it's getting returned. No need to even see if it fits me. The only redeeming quality, which earned the 2 stars, is that the synthetic hair fibers are actually decent quality.

Did not really look like the wig pictured as it was MUCH shorter but severed it's purpose. My daughter was in a musical that need this era hairstyle and it worked out fine.

I had fun with this wig and it was big hit but there were issues. It comes out of the package FAR from "perfect" or ready for use. There is not enough "straight" hair to cover the "ratted/teased" hair so a lot of the ratted/teased hair showed (from the back it appeared that I had bedhead) I also had to comb/brush it quite a bit to get the front to look presentable. It served it's purpose for me as I was a harried waitress for Halloween but I wasn't overly happy with the product.

Kudo to the wig being picture perfect out of the bag! The problem, however, is that the height is obtained with a large foam pad under the hair, which will NOT fit down around your head for long, and I have a small head. I wound up pinning the hair down to my own get some security.

It's inexpensive but for a reason... it did the job for Halloween but it's not very nice looking. The foam insert that give it volume is very bulky. I actually took it out and cut it a bit to round the edges so it doesn't look so square. You can't brush it as those curled up ends are sewn into the wig. It definitely looks cheap and not as nice as in the photo.
