SweeTARTS Mini Chewy Candy, 4 Ounce (Pack of 12)

In large text on the wrapper, right below the name of the candy, is this statement: "For a CHEWY experience, BREAK IT into bite-sized pieces before eating." That's exactly how it works. In unbroken form, the candy tablets are hard. Broken up, they readily become chewy in your mouth. It's kind of nice if this is something a person wants to carry in his pocket. They won't "melt". For convenience, you might want to whack the tablets (still in the wrapper) with something hard, so that they are already broken into small pieces inside the package. These small pieces are not sticky either. They become chewy once you put them in your mouth. To reviewers who complained that these are stale -- don't feel bad, that was my initial reaction, too. Then I read the wrapper.

I have ordered three different times and all of the boxes had an expiration date of more than one year past the purchase date. I'm not sure why people are saying that the candy is stale. It is just like what you buy in the store, so they may be expecting a different type of candy. I love the candy and will be buying many times in the future!

Nothing like searching high and low for a childhood favorite candy and finding them on Amazon. The sweet and chewy SweeTARTS are great. They were exactly how my husband remembered them. They are great and were shipped to us where none of them broke. Great deal for the cost per package. Expiration date was 9 months from date of purchase.

The only negative was that the candy wasn’t packaged in a sealed box as it usually is. Rather, the individual packages were loose and tightly packed into a padded flat rate envelope. Other than that, the expiration date was fine (May 2022), the candy was fresh, and the shipment was fast. No complaints here, really.

The only warning I have is for those with no will power. These candies are excellent and it is tough to maintain control when you have such a ready supply lying around the kitchen.

I bought these for a birthday gift for my dad. This is his all time favorite sweet tart candy and always complains he can’t find them anywhere. I was hesitant at first because of all the reviews were saying the candy was stale. The key is to break them on a counter or a hammer before you open them, that is what I used. I remember my dad always wacked them on the kitchen counter all the time. The box I received today are more fresh than the ones I ate 10 years ago!!! **DO NOT TRY AND BREAK IT WITH YOUR TEETH!!

These are my favorite candy but in my area it is hard to find a store that actually carries the Giant Chewy Sweetarts. The price on Amazon was great and being able to order them is so convenient!The only problem I had was that when I opened the outer mailing package the plastic wrap around the inner box of candy was opened and it was obvious that somebody had used their finger to poke a hole in it and took out two of the packs of Sweetarts.

Received on time, freshly packaged and they taste great!!!

Love these chewy sweeTARTS! They are soo nice. If you like tarty sweety chewiness then this is the candy for you!

There is something either wrong with this box or the taste of these has really gone down the drain. The most awful aftertaste ... I am contemplating sending these back but to have to pay shipping charges again makes that almost uneconomical. Perhaps I will save the rest to give away at Halloween

To all the one that say they are not soft. YOU HAVE TO BROKE THEM IN PIECES LIKE IT SAYS ON THE BOX. they are super good and taste great. DON’T BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEW

Just like the old days... But better!

They are rock hard I let them sit in my warm home and they are still rock hard.. not very impressed at I almost broke a tooth!!
