Paula Deen Signature Cutlery 3-Piece Chef Set with Sheaths, Speckle Red

Very pretty blueberry speckle knives. They are sharp now, I hope they will stay that way after multiple uses. Worth the price, I think.

Paula Deen's Signature Cutlery 3-Piece Chef set knives are the greatest knives I have ever used. I can cut through meat and vegetables effortlessly... Not only are they spectacular knives, they're beautiful. Keep up the good work, Paula!

The knives work great. My only disappointment is that I thought I was buy knives to go with my Robin's Egg blue cookware, but this is not the same blue. Still my go to knives.

The color is beautiful and they really cut. You would think that the beauty would dull its sharpness but that is not the case. About time someone created a pretty knife and not just one with a black handle.

Why are almost ALL the review for this Knife Set by "Amazon Vine Program members" ? I purchased the knives and have no problem with them. I also looked at the other reviewers and a ton of them are from Amazon Vine Members. I will NEVER again bother to read another VINE reviewer's comments. There is something wrong when so many of them pile on one knife set or have so many of their reviews on any one Amazon item. Hmmmm..me thinks this is a political hit more than an actual product review. Shame on Amazon. Get rid of your VINE program.

I am 72 years old and have the cookware and all of pieces including these are the best I have ever had. I like the way they are shaped and so sharp. I would recommend this 3-piece set to every cook.

When I opened these knives this morning I found them to be super sharp. I expected the prep for frittata and potatoes would be a breeze. With this set I cut onion, potato, tomato, avocado, shallots (and later apple). With each item I cut (using the appropriate knives for each) I found the initial penetrating cut was easy, but moving the knife through each of the items was met with resistance. My best guess is all the speckling. It creates more of a drag through increases surface area. The speckles are slightly tacky and raised, so holding an item and cut allows for the item to get a grip around the speckles. Aslo, can't say I love the handles. The shape is similar to a bread knife I have and I like the shape there, but perhaps due to the drag here I'm finding the handle not as ergonomic. Overall, if you want pretty knives, this set may work for you. If you want knives that cut effortlessly when they are as sharp as these knives are, then you may want to skip this set. There simply shouldn't be the level of resistance I experienced given the sharpness of their blades.
