7 Insights into Safety Leadership Paperback – January 1, 2015

This little gem of a book is essential for anyone that leads safety or who's a manager in an organization with safety hazards, e.g., manufacturing, construction, transportation etc. The authors clearly explain why situations that may lead to PSIFs (Potential Serious Injuries & Fatalities) require special attention, but are often overlooked. Excellent discussion of behavioral safety, where they note that inadequate management systems (procedures, training, work layout etc) are far more often the cause of incidents than worker behavior. Other practical advice and examples on the importance of safety culture, cognitive bias etc. Highly recommend.

I love the safety leadership principals in this book. As a Certified Safety Professional it is a great benchmark to have on hand to make sure the teams are on track. It is well written and concise and an easy read. Highly recommend for anyone in the safety field. Especially applicable to HRO’s.

As a VP of Safety for a construction company I found this book to be a great read. We are at a crossroad within our organization and the contents of this book will play a key part in our transformation. I recommend this book.

This book has taught me to look at how I view safety from a different perspective. Very insightful and thought provoking I am eager to put some of these ideas to the test.

Excellent book, which every safety or EHS professional should read to learn how to be effective.

Some interesting information but the authors spend way to much time talking about how awesome their "scientific" methods of research are. The insignts in this book are really more common sense than new and ground breaking.

Needed this book for a class and it is in no way worth $50. Ordered it used along with a classmate. Both our copies arrived in Spanish.
