As the name implies, this a dent buffer, not a dent remover. While on this site and others the product description implies that it removes dents, it actually "buffs" the surface and reduces the prominence of the dent, but doesn't really remove it. You can still feel it when you stroke, but it should significantly reduce the feel of the dent. This is definitely a safer alternative than the typical home remedies (i.e. saliva and heat from a lit cigarette or lighter) and sanding, which each can damage your shaft and/or alter it's performance and longevity.Before buying this product, you should develop good habits for protecting your sticks and get a cue claw-type product to limit dents caused by leaning your stick against a table or chair when not in use. Practicing good cue care habits will significantly reduce the number of dents in your shaft, while this product will help reduce the effect dents might have on your game.I would definitely recommend caring this item in your case.

Great product. Easy use and small to carry in pool case.

Works pretty well. I would recommend for only minor dents and dings. Nothing too deep.

I bought this one to replace one I lost at the pool hall. I think it works pretty well, but I think it could be priced a bit lower.

Helps remove dents, nicks and rough spots on cues.
